This originally made me do a WTF laugh but now it just freaks me out. I can't help but stare at it though.

juat has a wee look on the bellhaven website. seems they are completely swankying it up
The Wild Boar is an institution within Belmont Street Aberdeen. The Pub ( over 2 floors) is going through a major refurbishment moving stairs / adding windows / bar extension as well as an amazing redecoration throughout.
Link for the lazy: Belhaven Pubs :: Kitchen Manager, Wild Boar, Aberdeen
One of my brothers mates works at the Old Town School and he was saying a few of the staff from there are going to be moving across when Wild Boar re-opens. Next time I see him I'll ask for a few more details.

Best not go to London...if you don't stand on the left to allow Stressed Eric to run down the right hand side they look ready to throw you down the escalator.
Stressed Eric was ace.

There was a Chinese in Leeds that used to do this, but you could opt to not pay it, for whatever reason. Is this the same? Or is it a mandatory charge?
I sound dead tight fisted, but I'm just curious. I'm not one for tipping much unless it was especially good food and service.
It was added to the bill by default. I assume it was a mandatory charge but I never asked as I was going to leave a tip in any case because it was good food, I'm just glad I noticed it and didn't end up tipping twice.
It wasn't a large charge (tree fiddy if I mind right) but I'm not sure if it was a set charge or if it's a percentage based on your total order.

Braided Fig is still good, was there not long ago.
I'll second the Braided Fig, was there for lunch recently and it was brilliant. Watch out if you decide to leave a tip though, they automatically add a service charge to the bill anyway.

Mint game last night, especially when they showed the replay of Rose's goal, whilst playing Seal's Kiss from a Rose. Quality. Ruddy tremendous strike though, although terrible goalkeeping again from LOLmunia. And Gareth Bale scored a goal! I can't believe it either. He's looking decent at the moment. It's almost a shame that he's Welsh.
I've been humming along to Kiss from a Rose all day, this explains where I heard it.
As for Rose's goal I've still no idea how it didn't end up out the stadium, did anyone see how far he was leaning back when he struck the ball? He was almost horizontal!

Daft bints at cash machines who NEVER have their card ready when they get to the machine. They then have to set their bag down and rake around for about an hour.
Does my head in.

Billy Madison
This is one of the worst films I've ever seen in my life. I realise that Adam Sandler is an actor you either like or loathe. I don't normally mind him too much. I can handle the goofy-heart-of-gold-prone-to-yelling-in-anger-occasionally character that he plays in pretty much every film. In this one he plays the same character but with added occasional bouts of talking and acting like he has some sort of mental deficiency. I almost switched it off at the start because I thought he was going to be like that all the way through but he stopped doing it. The plot for what it's worth concerns Billy Madison whose dad owns a hotel chain and so he just loafs about without a care in the world. For some reason he gets upset when his dad says he is going to retire and make someone else boss because he flunked out of school. So Billy says he will go back to school to repeat grades 1 - 12. So he does. Let's leave aside the fact that a school will allow this to happen. Cue Billy interacting with school kids and taking a fancy to one of the teachers, who has a weird face, she looks like Beast from 'Beauty and the Beast'. Steve Buscemi pops up, as he seems to do in Adam Sandler films, they must be mates or something. I don't think I laughed at anything in this film.
1/10. Because it has a Ramones song on the soundtrack.
Billy Madison is gold! I will admit it has been a good few years since I've seen it, I can imagine if I watched it now I wouldn't think much of it.
The school principal is brilliant:

Wedding Singer is ace. As is Big Daddy, Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, Anger Management, Mr Deeds, The Waterboy, 50 First Dates, The Longest Yard... Sandler is great.
The less said about Bedtime Stores the better though.
Haven't seen Zohan or Funny People.
Can't believe I forgot about The Waterboy. That was a great Sandler movie.

Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison were Adam Sandler at his best. Airheads was brilliant as well.
Haven't liked anything he's done in the last few years, with the exception of casting Kate Beckinsale opposite him in Click. Bastard.

I'm a bit of a Carrey fan. I could quote the Ace Ventura's, Liar Liar and Dumb and Dumber line for line.
Really liked him in the Truman Show, Man on the Moon (which I don't think he got enough credit for) and Eternal Sunshine. I think he's done quite well to move on from his early 'slapstick' types roles and managed to develop himself as an actor, a lot of actors get stuck playing the same type of roles - looking at you Sandler, Ferrell and Stiller!

Man with the Golden Gun was always a favourite. Scaramanga would probably be my favourite Bond villain.
