  1. No I haven't. Thing is, it's a work phone, so I've never had anything to do with o2 before. It was just handed to me when I started nearly 2 years ago.

I have contacted my IT department but I'm guessing it's way down the priorities because MMS isn't exactly necessary for my job! It's just fucking annoying getting a text message that says I have been sent a multimedia message from x phone number, to view it go on this website etc when MMS used to work absolutely perfectly before. It's more often than not a stupid picture one of my mates is sending me and never anything important, but I just would like it to work!!

I'm not sure if I'm really allowed to speak direct to o2 about this account or not!

    Text MMS to 1010.

It should go and retrieve the settings for you.

  2. I remember the show you mean but not the name. I loved the first series of it. It was a Mortal Kombat arcade machine. The game had just (maybe was about to) come out then.

If I remember right that wasn't even the best prize there was a mystery thing he could have gone for but he didn't risk all the cool stuff he'd already one.

edit - I wanted to remember the name too now so I googled a bit and found it.

    It was called Games World

Christ, is that Bob Mills hosting? Whatever happened to him?

Bad Influence was my favourite as a young 'un

    Check out that 90s vibe!

  3. People seem to forget that Calderwood spent a relatively large chunk of money in his time at Aberdeen.

    Hardly.

Over his 5-6 year stint I can think of 5 transfers in Calderwood made:

    400,000 on Lovell

    300,000 on Nicholson

    100,000 on Mulgrew

    70,000 on Aluko

50,000 on Byrne (whatever happened to him?)

However he single handedly made that back on selling Anderson for 1m plus.

  4. People who say they have OCD

e.g. "Oh I had to go and clean it again because it wasn't done right and my OCD kicked in" or similar stuff

You don't have fucking OCD, you're just being a petty fucker! If you had ever met anyone with true OCD you would see how fucking terrible a condition it is! :swearing:

  5. A wheel of cheese.

And you ate the whole... wheel of cheese? How'd you do that? Heck, I'm not even mad; that's amazing.

Nipped down for a quick half hour over lunch just now. There's a particularly fine Chilli cheese I sampled, not sure I could cope with a lot of it though.

The Oriental Noodles stand looked amazing.

  6. I have an HTC Desire on my personal contract and a iPhone 3GS via my work.

The HTC Desire (or a newer model - I think the Desire is a good few months old now, you'd probably get a newer model free with an upgrade) running Android would be my pick. I prefer the freedom to install whatever I want on the device as well as easily transfer my music to and from the device without having to worry about iTunes and how many machines I can sync the iPhone on. A PC just recognises the Desire as an external hard drive allowing you to transfer files easily.

I've got a SNES emulator and roms of PIlotwings\Zelda\Mario Kart running on mine and I haven't had to jailbreak or root the phone to do this and invalidate the warranty.

I do agree with a few others on here that the battery life on the Desire is terrible. Truly awful, I actually have a widget on the phone that turns off the 3g signal when I'm not actively browsing the web just to save on the battery.

Personally I'd try and wangle a free upgrade onto a HTC phone, if you don't like it you can always sell it on ebay for a few hundred quid and go back to your iPhone 3GS. I think it's a no lose. The iPhone is a great phone but if you try and don't like the HTC phones you haven't lost anything.

  7. I did it in about 6-7 hours. Played co-op a fair bit, which is ace, though you'll both feel like total divs at points. It'd be next to impossible to play without actually talking to each other.

Can't wait to get back into co-op, since I bought it on Steam and only have a gaming PC at work just now, and co-op is perfect lunch-time fun.

GLaDOS is the greatest NPC ever.

Is there much replay value in co-op? I'm a bit unclear as to how it works; is it just a series of test chambers you work through from start to end or are there hundreds of chambers picked at random?

I suppose what I'm getting at is if I play co-op with one friend and then another night play co-op with another friend will I just be replaying the same levels?

  8. If you're at the Cineworld Union Square (beach might be the same - never tried) and there's a huge queue for tickets go to the bar instead.

The staff can sell you tickets from the till there, works for Unlimited cards too and they have a stash of 3d glasses if you need some. Also, beer.

  9. Ended up caving in and buying this on Sunday, who needs food anyway?!

Only played single player so far. Got as far as chapter 4 before giving it a rest for the night but bursting to get back home tonight and crack on.

Wheatley is one of the funniest characters in a game for a long while, there are some proper laugh out loud moments from him.
