  1. id be interested in playing drums, if u were prepared to practise in a rehearsal room... not ideal i know...
  2. so, im staying in aberdeen now for uni at the RGU, sadly i only have sticks with me, no other drumming gear, but i have 6 years experience. Any bands out there who think they could make it work in practise rooms, and who obviously need a drummer, give me a shout.. musical preference doesnt really matter, i play most styles, im 18
  3. well, guy hasnt messaged back, so anyone else wanna buy? gimme an offer.
  4. got an offer of 40 i think, its a maybe atm, will sell for a better offer tho, or if it doesnt work out ill let ya know.
  5. Slayer/Slipknot/Hatebreed - SECC, one ticket, anyone wanna buy?
  6. think ill be too busy being trendy and going to clubs. Ill start going to band nights when ive been here a bit longer
  7. freshers are cool, we are the life of this damn city now! ya, did enjoy it tho, ur drummer rocks.
  8. i was there, only heard your last song like, but it was kickass!
  9. atm my pedal does none of the work for me regardless of how i set it up using different tensions, total bottom of the range mapex thing, complete crap, its like running a race rather than playing drums. I do find however that beater closer to the drum does increase speed, obviously reducing the overall sound tho... good mic'in could fix the sound tho.
  10. Anyone tried the DW dualist? wouldnt mind a shot on one of those one day.
  11. yea, ive checked out the hi-hat combo, looks cool. Ive looked at Janus in the shops, the action on a 300 one is super smooth. I read about higher models, apparently the world record for double bass was set on it, even managed to beat 2 single pedals... !
  12. Mapex janus pedals are the shit, only wish i could afford one. not a big fan of the iron cobra, seems slow. DW with twin chain drive is what i will prolly upgrade 2
  13. Been playing 6 years, this is my second kit, first was just a crappy starter. Its a yamaha rock tour custom (as used by the old guns and roses drummer) in black sparkle. I use sabian pro sonix and aax metal cymbals, mapex twin bass. I also have a Terry Bozio signature sabian china, ooo errr. Ahead "spud" from mudvayne sticks.
  14. just looked at the site, im gonna check this place out when i go
  15. FOR SALE: Epiphone Gibson SG Bass, ^^ like that one, heh, but missing A string, great condition, basically never used, bass wasnt for me. got a decent gig bag too. anyone? offers? not asking much
  16. yea , begining to think i should bring cymbals and pedal and my snare with me, so if i do end up jamming at a rehearsal room , like captain toms, i dont gotta pay extra
  17. When i come to aberdeen for uni that'd be something id be really interested in, jamming with musicians you dont know is the best
  18. So its just a practise room u pay to use? but cymbals are extra? k cool..
  19. a lockup sounds cool.. maybe if i got in a situation like that id bring my kit up...
  20. DW will be the kit i buy once i finish uni...
  21. Id say most new starter kits arent worth the money. That ludwig looks like it'll come with everything u need, but its unlikely the cymbal and hats will last five minutes if your any good at all, so id put money aside for a beginers cymbal pack. Id always recommend ebay for a kit, i picked up a 6 piece yamaha RTC for 500 quid. tons of freebie stands and parts. Better to buy a second hand semi-pro!
