  1. Hmm... I've already got one greatest hits and done actually want any more Thin Lizzy... are the (earlier) albums good? i've always been told that "live and dangerous" is fantastic, but i've always had other albums to buy blah blah...

  2. they are 45 new...

i doubt rnb sold it for 60' date=' since i bought marshall effects from there years ago and they were still only 45

    David[/quote']

Hmm, this was a couple of years ago, so maybe they were dearer... but if they're 45 new, 20 would be a better offer. i just have no use for it.

  3. How much was it when you bought it?

Hmm, i got it from r and b music a while ago, so i got ripped off... i think it was about 60. it's a tremelo/vibrato combo, but i never use it since i got an electro harmonix worm.

  4. Hmm well I dunno if you coudl call In Utero a punk album its certainly on the borderline' date=' one of my favourite albums as well.[/quote']

well i always say punk isn't a sound - or else avril lavigne and busted might as well be punk - it's an attitude to making the music, and you can't say in utero wasn't recorded with a punk rock ethic in mind.

  5. i was looking at those mooger foogers on ebay the other day' date=' looked like damned good fun. we used to connect a tiny casio keyboard to a distorion pedal and a ring modulator and have lots of fun. managed to make it sound like a plane taking off once but the neighbours weren't happy. it wouldn't stop, it just kept getting louder and louder. in the end i had to turn off the amp and run away.[/quote']

that reminds me of running my awful zoom drum machine through a proco rat and into a 50w amp in a sad attempt to sound like nine inch nails... i never really got the desired effect...

  6. Billy corgan a "bit" of a dick?

    ...

James Dean Bradfield - Manics (Criminally underrated esp. Holy Bible)

Yeah, B0lly is a total arsehole, but it works for him, it gets good records made, even if he ends up playing everything but the drums himself... he did actually make jimmy chamberlin do cherub rock over and over 'till his hands were bleeding...

And Jame Dean Bradfield's riffs on the holy bible are amazing, well everything about the guitars on that record are great. i don't rate any of the other manics stuff though.

  7. I use the auto wah setting on my electro harmonix worm pedal alot, but only so it's on a slow sweep. sorta sounds like a cool phaser... i've tried a q-tron which is more more suited to that funky fast wah thing...

Oh yeah, that reminds me... waking up and seeing a dead priest on the end of my bed staring at me, trying to scream, then waking up for real... now THAT was scary.
