  1. I thought that Darius sorted this all out with his 2002 pop smash "Colourblind". He's colourblind*, so why aren't you cunts?

*colourblind as in not being a mad racist bastard, not in the can't be in the RAF or an electrician sense of the word.

  2. Anthony Stokes on loan to Dundee Utd, I'll be glad to see the back of him.

Shame for Danny Ward, he was doing really well for Aberdeen and it could have gotten him into the Wales squad for Euro 2016. I just can't see him getting into the Liverpool first team this season.

  3. The missus and I had a fair binge on Bowie last night, he was pretty much unequalled when compared to his contemporaries. He always seemed to have a genuine interest in new bands, from bigging up Devo to Sonic Youth, the Pixies to TV on the Radio and Arcade Fire. There are not many artists who cut their teeth in the 60's who have kept an eye on what new artists are doing.

He was always well turned out.

In the Shire? You'd really be best stretching yourself a bit further than that tbh. Only one I can think of is the Dangerous club in Peterhead, which is great. Anywhere else is going to be a case of bring your own gear to be squashed into the corner of a bar where the locals will threaten you with violence if you don't play 'rockin in the free world'.

Maybe, just wondering about perhaps putting on more conclusive shows, reaching out to folks who perhaps aren't likely to make it along to Tunnels, Cellar 35, Downstairs etc...

    The Hateful Eight

New Tarantino picture. Seems to have gotten mixed reviews, but I liked it a lot. I won't say too much about the plot for those planning on seeing it. As you'd expect, aesthetically it is excellent and worth seeing in the cinema. The setting and the cinematography are excellent. Like with nearly all Tarantino films, it's very much based on dialogue over action, which seems to be where the mixed reviews come from. It's odd that people still don't know what to expect from a Tarantino film. I'm not particularly a fan of Kurt Russell but his performance is very good. It might even be Samuel L's best ever performance IMO, from what I have seen of him. 8 out of 10.

I saw this on Sunday and quite enjoyed it. I bloody love a bit of Kurt Russell, which makes his inclusion a big boost. It is perhaps 20-30 minutes too long, and nothing particularly new for a Tarantino film. Good cast performances and excellent dialogue, but I think some of the back stories *(especially Samuel L Jackson's flashback) was not really needed and slowed the pace of the movie down a bit too much.

When I think about it, I would rank this as the 8th best Tarantino directed movie.

He's an underrated pundit though, is Jermaine. Better than the drunkards on Soccer Saturday and the angry scousers on Sky and BT. Seriously, Steve McManaman just has to be the worst footballer-talking-about-football on the telly. Actually, no. Macca is #2. Paul Merson is the undisputed worst. Paul Scholes in at #3.

Ah I forgot Robbie Savage. He's probably in a league of his own.
