  1. I was about to post the same link, I found it through one of my forums over here. This is jaw dropping stuff. Don't think I blinked my eyes once Awesome is the word.
  2. Take it from a Dutchman (don't know why that matters) cycling in Aberdeen is NOT very safe. I cycled from Rosemount to Altens and back, but only on bright & dry days and I cycled on pavements whenever I could. I occassionally swerved & swaggered so people would take extra notice o_O
  3. You have to use your hands for that. Oh wait. You''ve got a looping pedal?
  4. As much as I like it I think you should incorporate a dance routine into your songs.
  5. CAN'T - STOP - LOOKING! I'm sure my eyes will pop out if I look at one more picture here.
  6. It's very very tempting to spill beans but I won't. Let's just say the council could be making a lot more money. And that there are ways to get rid of the occassional ticket. Not that I would ever do that, obviously.
  7. I used to work for the Parking Office. One of my first jobs when I came over. Let's just say it was an eye-opening and mostly JAW-DROPPING experience. I got to know aberdeen city council a bit better there...
  8. This actually made it to the news here in the Netherlands: Student Rory McInnes paints 60ft willy on roof of parents' house | The Sun |News
  9. If anyone's interested, it's working as it should, I put a resistor at the unused pins of the switch. Dead quiet now. Thanks again! Here's the result: it looks pretty good and it sounds SWEET.
  10. LOL. It's an unbalanced mic, i.e. only a black & a red wire coming from the capsule. (Although strangely enough the mic it came from had the 3 pin OUT but going to a normal 1/4 jack.) It's now going to a 1/4 jack out.
  11. I have 2 wires coming out of the capsule (black & red) so I dubbed them + and -. I tried putting a single switch to disconnect only one of the wires (so that only one of the wires would be diconnected when off), however this gave the same result: buzz when off. *starts looking for beginners audio electronics workshop*
  12. I'm trying to install a toggle switch (on/off) in my self built bullet mic, I've got a +/- toggle switch (two seperate switches but with one toggle, if that makes sense?) interrupting both the + and -. I had the wires going straight from the mic capsule to the out jack. The mic works fine when all wires are connected, gives a nice clean sound. However, I now have the switch in between, and it gives terrible buzz when I switch it off. I've tried switching the + and -, but that doesn't change anything, still buzzes when off. Any ideas? Help?
  13. Just came across this. It's pretty good reading really. The man has a sense of humour and has an opinion! Son of Dave
  14. All I know is his latest, Heavy Ghost. I was very impressed! Is is it good? Have a look at this then, just found a live set here.
  15. Oooh! Ooh! OOH! Just discovered Lay Low SWEET country-ish stuff from Iceland. Very sweet. The whole album is streamed on 3voor12
  16. These two have been playing almost non stop for 2 weeks now: DM Stith (if you like antony & baby dee you will like this). Amazing. Big Low (calexico, tom waits, 16 horsepower). Very very very nice.
