Ooh! On a Monday no less
-
Not entirely on topic but the commentary on this great goal by Ronaldinho is fantastic.

Stop second guessing and putting words in their mouths. Tell me how often you say things that are hearsay and from your own mouth in order to TRY and base an argument?Who is to say that the record lable put pressure on minus? It does happen you know.
Oop, steady on lad
I don't really believe that a label would cause such a change in a band if they didn't like the music they ended up playing. Or I'd like to not believe it could happen anyways. Wouldn't it be easier to sign a band already playing that type of music and drop Minus? Either way you've still got the first records and I'm sure plenty of alternative bands to listen to in the mean time. Least of all the new Neurosis
-
Tell me what sells more, rock or hardcore? Tell me why minus featured on ea sports then after changing their style? So you don't think bands should have morals and stick to their user base by remaining loyal to the people who supported them? I choose not to support minus because they dont care about their fanbase, they are selfish assholes. Do you support people who are selfish?
Minus had an original sound, now they dont. tell me what does that say?
For the THIRD time i will ask, did you like minus's first two cds? I guess that makes you as ignorant as them. Stop second guessing and putting words in their mouths. Tell me how often you say things that are hearsay and from your own mouth in order to TRY and base an argument?
They don't care about their fanbase and are selfish assholes because they continued producing music based on what you'd assume most bands are formed for? Making music that you yourselves as a band like? o_O
I don't really follow Minus as much as I did before but they were never THAT massively original were they? Care to elaborate on that at all please?

Hip-hop collective Jurassic 5 have split after 14 years together.
Member' date=' or ex-member, Soup revealed that the band will see out a tour of Australia and Japan before going their separate ways.
"After the tour, that's basically it," said Soup. "I don't want to sit here and fake around with it - we're not seeing eye to eye right now. People see us a harmonising, loving group, but that's far from the truth."
The infighting hinted at in Soup's statement has apparently been caused by one of the other member's desire to go solo.
"Some people here want their own shrine, their own thing. If that's what you want, I say more power to you. I hope it works out for you - just don't come up with lame excuses."
[/quote']
Boo! Fair enough 'Feedback' is a bit boring and 'Power In Numbers' was inconsistent but I'm quite gutted. Looking forward to whatever solo and guest spot adventures they go on to do though. Chali 2na is on tour with Dan The Automator at the moment I notice...

stone temple pilots - no way out (flash: "what's this? it's fucking shite")
Amusement.

General rock 'n' roll hooligans and favourites of the Moorings Bar!
I'm sure your mastery of Myspace could locate them if you really wanted
-
Amen to that (no pun intended on the 'selling out' arguments...)
-
I love how when I see you now I think "Danko Jones changed my life".
It's a good phrase.
-
I was hoping American Head Charge'd be on it this year.
That might well be enough to tempt me along.

Should be a fun gig, Kubichek! are supporting aren't they?
-
i miss you adam
You would've loved it, he was smoking people seemingly by accident until I turned everything down so he couldn't work out how to get it back on again. Then he just started shouting "SMOKE" at me and pointing at the machine.

!!! - Myth Takes
Annoying name aside, the new !!! album's pretty good. Bass-driven dancey rock reminiscent of the route that LCD Soundsystem and The Rapture plow through modern music. Originally I thought it tailed off towards the end but no complaints about spending the cash on it now. Last track sounds almost Sigur Ros-ish.
'All My Heroes Are Weirdos' is an ace song title as well by the way.

Spotted last Friday in Moshulu being terrifyingly drunk. He doesn't remember much. Shocking behaviour.

The description alone makes me all aquiver to hear it.
-
it was pretty rubbish. the helicopter giving the deer a blow job was better.
Tony vs. Paul is utter delirious fun though.

Niko - Life On Earth
Picked this little trip hopish/electronica/blah number up at the Aim gig at the Lemon Tree and really like it after a few spins. Not a million miles away from Aim's music but with a more feminine and slightly more melodic flavour maybe? Recommended anyways.

Nice one. Thanks - that's a good few to check out just now. And, Alkaline Trio? Is this an up and coming band?
They just signed to Monotreme Records for a bag of peanuts and a hot dog with onions. I'd have thought you being so musically advanced as to have to ask for advice on bands in a forum would know such a thing
-
And still no beans spread.
-
Listen to Alkaline Trio. Everyone should 'cause they're ace.
The Get Up Kids are awesome.
-
That's certainly not getting in the spirit young Bags.
-
I bet I'm asleep...
-
Only if you spill the beans of said trade.

Awesome! I still haven't caught them live.
I agree The Ghost Of A Thousand are just about as good! Great record.
