  1. I suppose a nostalgia trail was inevitable! Are you guys scenies? WTF is that!?
  2. Let's all stick up for Folk Music! And while we're at it we could all pop along to Cafe Drummonds next Thursday (21st October) to see The Anna Massie Band. Anna is one of the most exciting new young Traditional musicians around at the moment and she will be supported by Carmen Higgins (where has she been?). It will be lively.
  3. It's not just a coincidence. At least sombody's noticed.

Are Mike and Chilli the same person then?
  5. If anyone is at a loose end on Saturday afternoon, 9th October, why not drop in to Dr. Drakes. Between 2-5pm DJ Broadbeat will be playing sounds from around the world.
  6. It's a great line up by the way! And for free as well!!
  7. ...and I forgot about The Trash Can Sinatras with support from the mighty Ballboy. Sublime doesn't even begin to describe it!
  8. Spooner, work out how much you would have saved in the gigs you are going to already. You'll know it makes sense!
  9. I'm in agreement with some of this but if you just broaden your already wide musical tastes you'll find there is still good stuff. Mory Kante and Musikas featuring Marta Sebestyen are big names in world music and Marta is a particularly special performer. Other highlights..Croft No.5, Hookers Green No.1 and James Yorkston. I also wonder where the freebies have gone or even regular news letters. I've just renewed my regulars card but good value though it is, it ain't what it used to be.
  10. According to various listings she's at The Lemon Tree next Tuesday (21st September) which seems strange. Is it true?
  11. Awaiting with baited breathe!!
  12. Can I have Cuts and Real Shocks contacts as well?
  13. ..as long as you cum and pay your money...and do it quietly!
  14. Fans of Low, Cat Power, Mary Margaret O' Hara and any other etherial music will love her. Spine tingeling stuff. Catch her supporting Charlie Parr at Dr. Drakes on Sunday 5th Sept.
  15. Phillip, What about something traditional with a bit of Jazz. The Fraser Fifeld CD-Honest Water is lovely. Pipes, whistles, saxaphone and gentle electronic beats. He's now playing in a trio with Graeme Stephen and Stuart Ritchie. www.fraserfifield.com Mind you I think we should get you up to 1977 first, what about The Clash!!
  16. I think the sharp new image helped!
  17. It's all fine. We were worried when it didn't appear on Schwervon's schedule. But I have an email from the Major today. I don't know the answer to the Vermont question.
  18. I'd like to take advantage of this offer but I get stressed by Playpal! Can you keep me one and we can do an exchange in a secret place sometime?
