  1. A brief summary of these artists from Ents24: Ally Kerr - Another gem from the Scottish pop scene, Ally's lazy mixture of mellow guitarwork and lyrics full of feeling mark him out as a singer and songwriter of huge potential. Saint Jude's Infirmary - "A gorgeously lethargic wisp of Velvet Underground/Mazzy Star Melancholy, these Edinburgh dreamers are what rainy days rain for. Fronted by a sweetly cooing Debbie Harry lookalike, they've only been together for a few months but their talent rivals that of bands with careers a dozen times as long." -Scotland on Sunday Sal - A songwriting acoustic duo from Aberdeen whose music is powerfully beautiful.

  6. Looking at buying these on line (at last!). I shouldn't complain but the regulars tickets are priced at 6 (should be 8?). I know the reasons for there being an added fee, but 1.50.. bah! I'll just phone or turn up as usual.
  7. I stopped reading when I came to this frightening statement from Bush "God told me to strike at al Qaida and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East. If you help me I will act, and if not, the elections will come and I will have to focus on them." Where do (some) human beings get the capacity for such blind faith?
  8. (For discussion sake) they were better the second time they played Scotland at The Tunnels.
  9. But they will only truly aline when Aberdeen has a listings magazine and allows (responsible of course) flyposting. Any of these part of your remit min?
  10. And as everyone knows it much further from Glasgow to Aberdeen than it is from Aberdeen to Glasgow.
  11. Her futile attemps at getting them to turn down their amps during sound check were a little scary.
