To me it seems that there are a lot of bands who' date=' though they may not only want to cool, at least just want to sound cool and lack the ability to make sincere music.[/quote']
sincere music is rubbish.
-
good ol' Gavin.
-
Float On is soo last Winter.
-
err' date=' was it one of you chaps who was going to email me their interview with EITS?
if you could get that to me...
cheers[/quote']
Sorry, I didn't see this thread until just now
I'm guessing it was for the recent issue of fudge, but I'll send it to you anyway, once I get it onto this computer.

umm, you're still playing the nomad am/eating paper night on july 31st right?
-
could anyone tell me how to convert protected wma files to mp3/aac?
thanks you

bought my ticket last week, huzzah

Nah' date=' not the best. He's a good frontman, but less in a traditional sense, more of a frantic, modern, throw yourself of the drum kit sense.
Traditional frontman I'm thinking the likes of Hetfield - he dominates[/quote']
I don't really understand what you mean by this.

high ya! psch

Ooh it was a good show, good show indeed. yes.
-
modest mouse are shit. and they're assholes. they came to my old radio station in LA and acted like a bunch of pricks.
yeah Issac Brock doesn't seem like the happiest of people..
I'd like to disown the above statement.^
-
we had something in by them in the shop' date=' twas very good. just one really long track but very interesting none the less. hard to describe though, quite krautrocky if i recall. only heard it once and that was a few months ago, sorry i can't tell you more.[/quote']
"the tain," its very good
-
Anybody know them?
I know their music, its good.
-
lol. thats just a matter of opinion. i hear youre playing at the lemon tree this friday or saturday? what can one expect when getting there and seeing all these cool bands?
Umm, unless I haven't been told, politik or clive ravensby (I assume you're referring to one of these) aren't playing at the lemon tree, or anywhere else, this month, let alone this friday or saturday.
Maybe you're thinking of the Nomad AM/Eating Paper Webzine night on July 31st, at the Lemon Tree, featuring
Dedalus
Politik
Masamune
The Gloria Flaw
Nick HG#1.
yeah, it'll be rad.

ive never heard much of modest mouse but the riff to Float On really is a killer. that song was played just before the chilis went on in murrayfield.
Those bands shouldn't be named in the same sentence, unless it was something like
"Modest Mouse are a really good band, but the Red Hot Chili Peppers are not."
but you are right, Float On is a very good song.

That's two more bands to add to the biog. Haven't heard Xiu Xiu before - any recommendations where to start?
get the new album Fabulous Muscles, its...well, fabulous. Also get Knife Play, and A Promise, and Fag Patrol......collect them all.
-
no no, Manchester Academy, with Bright Eyes and Rilo Kiley....oh yeah.
-
ahh, seeing them this Thursday...woo!
-
Modest Mouse are very good indeed, the moon and antartica is pretty much a perfect album, and the newest one, good news.... is also amazingly good.
They're not new at all, no.
-
That sounds like a fair deal, but they better still be hot.
-
I don't have any of those badges at all yet, not even a politik one.. ...
-
I have no idea about delivery dates, but why not just order said albums at the counter?
-
dedalus in lemon tree poster mis-spelling shock!
i think it said
deadelus
or something...
i changed the one in the moorings while i was sitting at the door
with my big black marker pen
cos im ace
Was this poster for the recent battle of the bands, or the EP launch on July 31st?

I really liked the new song that Dedalus played at GoNorth on Wednesday. I think I'm probably right in saying that it will be on the forthcoming Dedalus/Politik split EP coming out August 2nd on Nomad AM Records... good old free advertising
