If you were an iraqi militant, and you heard that the commander of a particular troupe of soldiers happened to be 3rd in line to the throne of one of the countries responsible for the iraqi occupation, would you not try and take that troupe out in hope of killing the Prince?
His being there would put the lives of his troops in danger.

Why is she a bitch?
You don't know her, all you know is what the media is reporting about her.
To be honest, anyone that gets worked up about a celebrity deserves jailed themselves.
That last sentence might be the biggest load of tripe I've ever seen you post Cloud.
Much as I love dear old Tel, if he were stupid enough to drink drive I'd like to think he'd get a more severe punishment than a slap on the hand and a suspended licence. It's bloody inexcusable.

Was Peep Peeps the one that made it onto that "Britain's toughest pubs" gash on Sky?

Christ! Locke!
Good to have a Ben flashback ep, still as hooked as ever.

Balkan politics. *Shrug*

Gold Standard for Eurovision of course. UK is the only country still on "nil points". Europe is definitely trying to tell us something... ho.

Faraway, brillliant tune.

I voted for Hungary and France...
APOCALYPTICA! OH MY GOD! YES!

I think there must have been some acid in my chinese.
Oh wait... no that's just how the bulgarians are doing it this year...

I've changed my mind about Scooch. Some of those lyrics were gloriously dirty...
Might have judged them too soon...
"Tug firmly on the red cord and blow into the mouthpiece" - I will never listen to safety instructions on a flight again without having to stifle a giggle.
Not to mention "Would you like something to suck on for landing"
-
Prepare to be embarrassed...Scooch are on stage...

Oh now I'm torn.
Ukraine have stolen my heart with their futuristic dame edna and weird german lyrics...

France are getting my vote. Purely for the bald guy skipping around stage.
Hilariously terrible.

Anyone else think the singer from the swedish entry looks like Gumpy?

Frankly right now I'd imagine her parents are feeling guilty enough about it without the whole world wagging their finger saying what to me amounts to "you deserved your child to get abducted".
By all accounts this creep came in through a window, if the apartment was large enough for possibly sound not to carry, what makes you think that it wouldn't have happened anyway whilst the family members were in another room? I'm not saying that leaving their kids alone in the apartment was a smart thing, but not everything's black and white.
I hate to say it, but I really agree with Hog, with the lack of any sort of results thus far (that have been reported) I'd say any hopes of finding the wee girl alive are fading fast - assuming there were any in the first place.

Darnit, my shoe threat has been uncovered...

Yeah, it's unfortunate it's on a Friday because there's not going to be anywhere venue wise in town that's going to want to risk a private hire incase they lose cash.
How about asking at your old school? Dunno what your connections are like there anymore, but it'll be in the holidays and there's at least one huge autitorium (I can't spell ) I've been in.
It's not quite huge but it's certainly big enough for a ceilidh, they used to have the 6th year dance in there. Have emailed college office so we'll see what happens.
Will have a mosey about the Station Hotel too, cheers for the help everyone.
And if anyone knows a cheap but half decent ceilidh band...?
-
Exactly the reason I've had to sadly discount the tunnels.
-
Anyone have any ideas for venues suitable for a Friday night Ceilidh near the city centre and that aren't going to charge more than 400.
Have spoken to the forum already and they're wanting 500, add cost of hiring a band onto that takes it to roughly 700, which really isn't feasible - or anywhere near it! - for a 21st birthday party.
Suggestions would be welcome.

Did I hear correctly? Was last night indeed a sell-out? Wouldn't surprise me, it was heaving! Congrats guys, great job! Back room was too busy for my liking this time, but no matter, stage shows were fab, I found a glowstick in my back this morning still emmitting a faint blueishness.

I particularly liked the part where you "armed yourselves with clothes line poles".
I also think pictures of said costumes would be an excellent addition to this post.

It also clearly wouldn't be justice if she got off because she "is who she is" like she did when she drove with her licence suspended last time.

I think usually if they're directly in line to the throne they do let them serve on the front line, hence they didn't let William go.
Prince Andrew was a RN helicopter pilot in the Falklands war, but that's a bit different from being an infantry soldier on the ground in direct line of fire.
