    Having said that, I think that if we appeal Kingston's three match ban and he's available to play on Sunday, that'll have a huge bearing on the outcome. The man is shit-hot.

    As for you RossP - I rather enjoyed my trip to Prague last year. When was the last time ICT were in Europe :p

    That was a while ago - the guy just got gaoled recently so it all came back. He was German IIRC. Anyway, who says that romance is not dead? :p

    All this most recent one probably really says is something about the lack of communication between the EU's mental-health services or how someone with problems in a new country can become detached & slip right through the net. Despite the black humour in the story, sadness underlies it & I hope he now gets the help he needs.

    I'm sure there was some sort of legal problem because Germany didn't have a law against cannibalism at the time.

    If you're really interested, I saw them advertising the documentary about it on 4od a couple of days ago. Search for "BodyShock". It'll cost ya.

    Rather appealing on the eye and even better in the ear! Outstanding 'in ear' headphones!

    They are my new best friends and no I am not sad! o_O

    And even if you don't like the sound, you look like you might be a robotics experiment from the future gone wrong.

    I bought a pair of Sennheiser in-ear MX500s for 20-odd a while back and to be honest, they're not any better than the original Sony ones that came with my mp3 player (not the ones with the magic bass thing going on). And I can usually tell the difference. Maybe my hearing's going though.

    I wouldnt really say it was undeserved as if any other team got it, they wont really have deserved it. Whether its Aberdeen or Hearts who get (Please be the Mighty Dons) they are just showing that they are the best of an utterly shite bunch!!!

    Exactly. I realise that my drunken use of the word "deserved" may have been inappropriate, but I think the point I was trying to get across was the fact that Hearts have been utter, unmitigated shite this season, but there's still every chance we'll get into the UEFA Cup. I bet there'll be plenty of Aberdeen fans saying that Hearts don't

    "deserve" the UEFA Cup qualification if we get third place on that very basis.

    bloody armchair fans...

    so, we've been "shite" - but we're still in third, so that means we've been less shite than the 9 teams below us (including Hearts). if we get more points than them then we deserve it, pure and simple.

    However, it's an interesting criteria for UEFA cup competition that you've suggested - how about we have a poll on Scotsport for the UEFA cup slot so armchair fans can decide on the team they think has been least shite over the season in their opinion and just ignore such trifling matters as league position, points gained, etc?

    Ha ha! So let me get this straight, I'm an "armchair fan" for only watching a team I don't support on tv?

    It's an interesting criteria for deciding who's a proper fan that you've suggested - how about nobody goes to watch the team they support any more and instead go and watch random games of teams they don't. That way they can make a rounded, fair judgement of all the other teams in the league and not use something so arbitrary as what they've seen on the tv.

    Idiot.

    And yes, the dons have *not* looked that great this season.

    much that the mighty JTs take advantage to cap a shite season with an undeserved UEFA Cup spot. And don't think you deserve it any more. I've seen Aberdeen on tv several times this season and you've been shite too.

    I don't blame you (unless it's your fault), but I really hope that you (and/or others on this thread that think the bloke that bought you the ticket did bad) have to try and organise 6/7/8/whateveramount of your mates to be in the same place at the same time, because it is fucking HELL. Trust me.

    Go with your instinct. But I've lost a good friend in similar circumstances. It's ultimately up to you.

    Amazingly, that was the first thing we tried to do! However, a return flight to Dublin is a bargain 50, however if you want to change the flight, it costs 70, so not worth it.

    Normally it'd just be his problem and i'd ignore it, but this will probably create a pretty horrible tension the whole weekend??

    Probably. I'd buy a gun if I was you. Just to be on the safe side.

    I'm in the minority of thinking Gold Against the Soul is their best work.

    I'm in that minority too.

    Although The Holy Bible is very close (and probably shades it when I'm in a certain mood). I really don't think that Generation Terrorists is that great as an album, although it does have some mighty fine songs on it. Everything Must Go has aged really badly, to the point where I can't actually listen to it all the way through any more. I haven't bought anything since (Manic's records that is - I didn't just give up buying products because the Manics had got a bit dull).

    Not the best episode, but good enough to suggest it's should a good series all in.

    On a side note: how brilliant is 4od? I may never watch tv at the actual time ever again. I can't wait until the next series of the Sopranos is available.
