HBO have started showing the new remastered HD version of The Wire. Seems like a good reason to watch it all once again. 

If only we hadn't conceded that late goal against Celtic we'd be top.

Big match today. A win would put us in a very nice position to end the year in.

I was just about to buy a new ipod classic when they were stopped. I was mad. I thought the shops in town would have had some for a while but everywhere was out and prices on amazon instantly doubled. 

In the Spanish cup. They don't have an equivalent of the league cup.

The korean girl gif is someone's avatar on another forum I use so I happily see it most days. 

The Dons winning a cup is obviously the best moment of the year for me. Also the match against Real Sociedad was a big highlight, I don't get to many matches at Pittodrie these days and the ones I do get to have a nasty habit of being disappointing. Even though we failed to progress and lost on the night it was great to experience an atmosphere like that for the first time in ages and I'll always remembers that very short spell when I was convinced we were going to smash them 4-1 and make it through. 

The World Cup has loads of high moments, Germany smashing Brazil is unforgettable. I can't remember ever having quite the same reaction to a match. Watching one of the Argentina matches at a huge bar with what must have been a thousand Argentinians all singing for the whole match was special too. 

Atletico winning La Liga should not be forgotten, one of the best achievements I've witnessed in top tier football. 

Many music blogs have been very excited about this year's release from St. Vincent, ranking it as the best of the year. What do people think of that?

 

I do really like it, but I get the impression that the accolades given to Annie Clarke are really for her overall body of work and performances rather than "St. Vincent" solely.

I think it is a strong album and an interesting change in sound for her but I wouldn't place it as one of the best albums of the year. I haven't really listened to it that much.

How will it be funded then?

I thought they were hoping to fund it from private investment and maybe another share issue. 

As far as I know a new stadium will not be funded by any bank loans.

I just watched the highlights from Saturday again, how bad is the United defending for the second goal? There's like 5 players just ball watching completely ignoring Rooney in loads of space as he waits for the ball to come to him.

Apparently De Gea is getting paid about half what Joe Hart is on at the moment, if the club really are going to spend loads of cash next year securing his future should be the first thing on the list. Or find him a manc wife who is allergic to the sun so he can never go back to Spain. 

Liverpool were utter shite but I still think anyone calling for Rodgers to be sacked is getting way ahead of themselves. 

Best moment of the premier league weekend was Giroud's second goal, I don't know how he managed to shoot at that angle. 

What I've seen from the game at Tannadice makes it look like a very good performance from the dons. The last couple of games were crucial if we wanted to stay with the pack at the top and we've come through with two comfortable wins.

It sounds like there are some stupid arguments being made about it but I read an article about that cafe recently and it sounds awful and the sort of place that would will be popular with total knob heads.

No new songs yet but a version of Cherry from the After Dark 2 compilation is going to be on it.

The new charli xcx is out and while it's not exactly the style I would like and not of the same quality as True Romance I'd still say it's very good. Some great songs on it.

I'm finally listening to the new Big K.R.I.T album from this year, Cadillactica. I didn't sooner because I had kind of tired of him a bit and felt his quality had dropped off after Krit wuz here and return of 4eva but this album sounds great so far.
