  1. Last Sunday and today have both been film days.

Begin Again - Not a lot to this but it's pleasant and good viewing for a rainy Sunday afternoon. Mark Ruffalo is good as always. 7/10

Million Dollar Arm - This is okay but something wasn't quite right about it, the main character was just a but too much of an arsehole. Don Draper really is the perfect character for John Hamm because he gives incredible performances in Mad Men but in anything else I've seen he's been average at best. 5/10

Anchorman - First time seeing this. I enjoyed it but as yet don't get why it became such a cult hit. It was very funny at times but no more so than other similar films. 7/10

Drive - Very good, you could say it's a bit style over substance, but I liked that style. 8/10

The Maze Runner - The Hunger Games with less plot, less fighting and less Jennifer Lawrence. Not bad though. 7/10

Guardians of the Galaxy - Awesome. Absolutely loved this. Best comic book film I've seen in a long time. I'm already looking forward to the sequel. 9/10

  2. I've been watching a bit of Jeeves and Wooster lately, it had been a while. It is most definitely ace.

I need to get a hold of the books I haven't read. I know there are loads of them but the shop always seem to have the same few.

  3. Don't we say that every year on here? It's well and truly a thing

I honestly don't remember it from any other year. It must be fairly recent.

I came here to post the same thing.

Seen loads of videos of people acting like wild animals in Asda and Waitrose stores down in England. I don't get it.

It's one of the most embarrassing things I've ever seen. 0 dignity on show.

  4. One of the top clubs should set up a youth academy dedicated to producing solid centre backs the way la masia churns out midget midfielders with good touch. The way football is going at the moment any such club would win everything just by not conceding five goals a game.

Guys like Cannavaro, Thuram and Maldini must be gutted their pace has gone and fitness has gone. They'd be kings in today's game. If Luiz is 50 million......

  5. England were obviously up for it and could play without nerves since it was a friendly. When that happens it's always going to be tough for the underdog to win. However from the little I saw I'd say we definitely could have played better and made too many sloppy mistakes. It's been a good year for us though and hopefully we can start next year with two qualifying wins.

  6. Listening to the latest Terrace Podcast just now and they mentioned an extra reason why we should really hope to beat England tonight. Something I've not seen spoken about anywhere else. Apparently if we win against England and beat Ireland in March (the Gilbraltar game doesn't count) we are very likely to be in the second pot for the next World Cup qualifying campaign. That might not be as exciting as thinking about the historic rivalry but I'd be delighted to have improve our chances of finally getting back to a World Cup.
