Cheers to everyone for coming along. Both touring bands had a grand time, as did I.
Highlight of the night was teaching John from Ehnahre how to speak Dorich. But he forgot the dorich "fooz yer does?" so instead used the English version of "How are your pigeons?" when trying to chat up a lass in Exodus. Yas!
It's Doric. Ye cock monkey. Good story though! haha

I was in Bond's offices today.. and all over that side of Dyce. Copious amounts of convos took place and from how i heard it. This time was a "Gear Box Failure" @ however many feet high. I forget how high but it was well up.. and the decent took a mere 9secs (i say mere, but could you imagine, 9secs is long enough to know what's coming at you!)... Poor souls.
The other weeks accident was pilot error.. but that could be chinese whispers.

bit last mnute, but Portals?

Never saw it coming then? I must be psychic... hehe

Rockabilly punk rock with loud guitars and upright bass your thing? Then you won't want to miss SHORT NOTICE, will you? Bequiffed and wearing nice shoes, they'll be playing a partytastic set of future R'n'B classics. We'll be dissapointed if you're not all dancing by the end of their set - they'll be onstage around 11.30pm, so you'll have plenty of time to warm up with a couple of shots beforehand. Remember your student ID for a 10% discount at the bar.
MISS THE OCCUPIER have been touring about, supporting Bis, The Fall, and The Grates, and playing with a cascade of great local bands all over Glasgow and Scotland. They're pretty much the best spiky alt-indie-rock band in Scotland right now. They have a place in their hearts for you, Moorings, so show them some love.
"Miss the Occupier are an indie-punk three-piece who take angular guitar riffs, fuzz them up until they're a suitably deafening din, and set them alongside the sardonic musings of singer Roz Davies. It's like being stomped in the face by The Fall's stroppy younger sister, and enjoying it just a little bit too much for your own good." - The Herald
Combining strong melodies with big choruses, STATIC IN THE CITY draw on a diverse set of influences ranging from The Smiths to Jeff Buckley to Pearl Jam.
"There's a keen sense of exploration here that one finds in all the stars of tomorrow at their most pure and raw. This is one of the bands that runs on enthusiasm and the aural effects are pure exhilaration. The tracks seem to slam into one another, causing masses of exciting sparks in-between...they're onto a winner!" - Is This Music? Dec 2008
Local punks DECIPHER will be opening the show. They like Comeback Kid, Dynamite Kid, Homegrown, Whitmore, 4ft Fingers, Less Than Jake, The Ataris, Silverchair... They're back gigging again with a new drummer after taking a little time out.
