  1. Not long ago finished Kingdom of Fear by good ol' Hunter S. Thompson, and the other nigth I read the first few chapters of the Long Way Round, having just finished watching the series.

I can just tell it's another book that'll make me want a motorbike I can neither afford or obtain. :(

  2. They are pretty good' date=' check out X-Men: Evolution though, it's awesome. It doesn't really get going til season 2 though. Star Wars: Clone Wars is the absolute mutt's nuts too.[/quote']

Sorry, sorry....did you just call JLU "Good", and X-Men Evolution "Excellent"?

    Off my planet.

  3. I can't believe Nightcrawler has a fucking perfume. Does it smell of Christian understanding of man's oppression of his genetically enhanced cousins? Maybe blue fur and brimstone?

And if the bottle doesn't go "BAMF!" when you squirt some out, I'd want my fucking money back.

For Christ's sake, it's PE. Why did you even give two fucks?

  5. Hmm' date=' there was always the Mr Duncan and Mrs McColgan thing, but i think it was all harmless, considering he looked like skeletor, and haddent brushed his teeth for a decade.[/quote']

I would beg to differ...in my 5th and 6th year afternoon Chemistry classes, they were often locked in his room together over lunch. And she often emerged with slighty skewed clothes.

I would move that the only decent teachers in that whole festering mess were Mr. Horne, Mr. Hopps and latterly Mr. Fish.

  6. It's a simple matter of interest, really.

WWII was, by and large, DRAMATIC. Dunkirk, D-Day, Blitzkrieg, Pearl Harbour and Hiroshima.

WWI was mainly categorized by 19-year olds sitting in holes in the ground in Belgium and France, taking pot-shots at each other. The most ominous, familiar event of WWI to most people is the fighting in "The Somme" which, when it all comes down to it, was just thousands of men running up a slight incline and getting shredded by machine-gun fire.

Plus the First World War didn't involve Millions of civilians being murdered for their ancestry, and the Second has far, FAR more documented history surrounding it.
