Buddle Arts Centre , Wallsend (21/06/2003) Must admit, was treated to a fantastic night of live music at the Buddle last night. Four bands on the bill, Deadloss 'motherfucking' Superstars (don't forget the motherfucking), The Cheesemakers, Psycho a Go-Go, and Catylyst. Deadloss 'MF' Superstars took to the stage first with a highly charged energetic performance. If you could imagine a Pantera/RATM influenced wall of rock energy with a hint of Radiohead, these guys would be pretty close to the mark. Highly active and full of banter, the band fluidly delivered a 25 minute set of some of the best rock I'd heard in some time. An international incident could've occured when one of the band announced they used to have a Geordie housmate, who said 'Geordies were just Scots with their brains kicked out', and thus they were in good company, but no lynching occured, although there was talk amongst the bar staff that they were to be banned from the north-east...
