  1. It's dooable just costs us an extra 5 mins each way in the changeover. Are these FXs actually through the amp itself or via a pod??? I've got to ask.

Stomp boxes, 1 Marshall Jackhammer and 1 Boss Flanger pedal through the amp. He may actually prefer to use the house bass amp, I've yet to ask. He has a new mobile number and I don't have it yet.

  2. Turn the lights down low

    And close the door, oh

    Future is coming

    Future rising up

    Whoa

Shotgun blast, a demon piece of lead

    With both eyes open

I wait up for the kill

    Feel the evil

Feel the heat as I blast you open

    Death comes ripping

And it's going, death comes ripping

You feel the heat as death comes ripping

    Rip your back out

    And death comes ripping out

    Flesh and blood

    Too weak for you

    Turning it over

A little too late to penetrate

    Death comes ripping

And it's going, death comes ripping

You feel the heat as death comes ripping

    Rip your back out

    Death comes ripping

And it's going, death comes ripping

You feel the heat as death comes ripping

    Rip your back out

    Death comes ripping

And I know that death comes ripping out

    Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa

    Whoa

  3. I remember being at Michelle's parent's house and the gay duck was chasing the geese...we had a lot of explaining to do to my little sister who came out with "mummy' date=' why is the birdy on the other birdys back, and why wont that ducky let them play?"[/quote']

The gay duck was a legend!!

  4. i popped in for a look yesterday. it's way bigger and it's gonna be fucking great. that's all i have to say' date=' other than the paintjob's a classic :)[/quote']

Never mind the fuckin paintjob, what about the lighting work bucko...!! :p

  5. Here's a plan for anyone that's interested in some high jinks. MacKays of Queen Street... yes THAT! shop has around 40' date='000 second hand lab coats on sale right now. Well OK that's not entirely true - they've been on sale for the past 15 years... BUT wouldn't it be freaky for both the mutants at MacKays and the bands, especially Goldblade if 150 people showed up wearing labcoats?

"Picture a man..." nah nee nah nah, nah nee nah nah.[/quote']

Ah Flash, you may have a fun idea there! You could buy a bunch and sell them at the bar to anyone stupid enough to have worn their fanciest Moshulu getup to the gig... ;)

  6. Rob' date=' as you should probably have noticed by now I only have one set of clothes and have worn them everyday since 1991.[/quote']

Aye, but if you want to keep your unbroken run of clothes wearing, you might wanna wear a set you're not all that fussed about on the night....

  7. Across the road, as previously said. Much bigger place.

Wise up regarding the old Elementz... Are you gonna fork out the rent for there?!

The Triple Kirks stall was pre-retro rebels I think. Kinda just a wee private enterprise for Michelle.

  8. Rob Karloff hasn't posted yet. Weird.

Do people really order JD to look 'cool'? I find it hard to believe...

Well, I find Jaegermeister tastes like cough medicine. It's ok tho. If you like it, drink it. If you don't, find another fucking drink. Where's the problem? I love the stuff, just like I love tequila, morgans and many others. It's all alcohol in the bloodstream in the end, eh??

  9. I loved there set last night! Heard them many a time and I just love when bands have the belief to do something different. Goes to show that good songs stand up in any form!

Even though I was running back and fore helping Rob sort the sound' date=' which for the record was a nightmare to do, new venue new soundsytem, I loved the night and thought both acts were very special!

On behalf of Drakes Productions, which was an extended family last night, Many thanks to everyone that came along. Hope you all had a good night!

    Jim [/quote']

It was a nightmare indeed. None of the backing tracks for Piney are recorded at the same levels it seems, and the different patches on the synth are worse!! But, we got there in the end. Great bands though, liked Piney a lot, says a lot for their professionalism to pull off quality performances in a new venue with lots of unknowns. The first gig is always the worst one to pull off, so hopefully future Drakes Team productions will be seamless and relaxed for everyone involved. Great to see such a decent turnout on the first night, lets hope it keeps that way for future nights!

  10. There's still a bunch of blood on the dancefloor from that shooting last year that we haven't got around to mopping up yet. Blood just adds to the atmosphere and looks cool under UV light. Do you ever utlise vomit' date=' urine, or excrement? Just asking cos we know a good supplier.[/quote']

Well, Sid Riffer threw up mid-solo at the Lemon Tree last time. Crowd loved it.

We have been known to utilise offal, but that's only when we're really pushing the boat out.
