  1. Well, we're heading down to pick up Uncle Pesto in East Kilbride the night before on the 14th, leaving Aberdeen in the van about 6pm I'd imagine. Then, up bright and early to be at Stranraer for about 9am on the 15th, in time for the Stena HSS ferry at 10am to Belfast. On the way back, we are on the 12:20 Stena HSS back to Stranraeron Sunday 18th. I don't see it being a problem you coming, as long as you fix your own ferry tix, and are willing to put up with an uncomfortable ride in the back of the van with the other guys, and chip in for the diesel!

  2. How long does it take for a passport to come to take me to Belfast?

I think I'm too late for this gig but future ones...

Not sure. But, you'd need to sort your own HSS ferry ticket anyway as I've already booked them for the rest of us and the van. We're also doing a couple of other dates the subsequent couple of nights, organised by the good Sir Griswold!! Thanks guys for the good words and comments though, we do appreciate it a lot. As Andrew says, anything is possible if you want to do it bad enough. He pulls it off with loads of never-say-die attitude and sheer will. Would you drive an estate car packed to the gunnals with gear and cretins 500 or more miles to a gig, play your set, then maybe drive another few hundred to the next town....? He does, and that's how he makes it work.

  3. Hell yeah, we get to open for the creators of horror punk once again! July 15th, The Limelight, Belfast, N.I., although I somehow doubt anyone would make the trek over there. But, it is only one of three UK dates for the Misfits, the others being Sheffield on the 14th and Brighton on the 16th.

On a similar note, we can be found giving Dr Drakes another coat of blood on the 20th of this month. Do come along to see the horror show... Rumour has it our music is pretty damn good too... ;)

  4. Correctamundo! They also list that interface as one that works fine, so sounds good. Let me know when and where I can pick it up. Leaving it with the good ol' Dr Drakes staff would work well for me, and I could leave it there and let you know when I'm done? I'm pretty busy currently with work, buying a house, etc, hence why I haven't been encountered out and about of late.

  5. I just got my hands on a TC Electronics G-Major guitar FX processor on EBay for 275. Once it arrives, I'd like to upgrade it to the latest TC patch from their website, as it supports parallel FX loops whereas the std firmware does not. Let me know if you have a MIDI interface I can borrow, or maybe come round with the unit and software and get the update done...?

Beer/appreciation in it for a willing candidate!

Is that your way of telling me that my attire and behaviour make me stand out in the gloom of an Elizium...? :p;)

  7. Max Brody from Ministry sent me a copy of a desk recording of Ministry back in the "Mind is a Terrible thing to Taste" era recorded from a gig in Omaha. It has a couple of Pailhead numbers in the set, and even a Skinny Puppy cover :]

Meester Eeelizeeum, I have a copy of it for you and Jaymz waiting, I just haven't had the time or opportunity to come to an Elizium for some time now. Sometime soon, I hope :)

  8. I have a 40-something year old EKO acoustic that my Mum bought in the 60s when she was in her hippy Hendrix/Deep Purple/King Crimson/etc phase. I taught myself how to play guitar on this (insert witty "you didn't teach yourself that well!", etc phrases here) in High School, and it almost beat me. Turns out it is a Spanish flemenco style guitar, which means it has a neck wider than Vanessa Feltz' ass. But, it sounds and plays really nicely once you get used to it, and it helps teach you to stretch those digits!!

  9. I bought it mainly for the Ministry "No W" and the Jello Biafra track. Haven't listened to the rest yet, forgot to take it with me to the land of Borat... :(

The Ministry track is ace, and has me eagerly awaiting the new "Houses of the Mol" (a play on the Led Zepplin album "Houses of the Holy") album due next month. It's very metal with fast guitars, reminiscent of Psalm 69 material and VERY like the Ministry side project Lard. It's a combo of Al Jourgensson being firmly off the drugs these days and the departure of bassist Paul Barker, and the return of Psalm 69 era guitarist Mike Scaccia, who played on the last tour but not the last album. His lead-work is very recognisable, I find.

  10. I love MiniDisc.

Small, portable, durable, track/folder naming from the Internet, etc.

I record mine on LP2 format, getting 2 CDs worth on 1 disc, which is great for in the car. And you know what? It sounds every bit as good as the CD it came from. Unless you have an oscilloscope, top notch hi-fi or abnormal hearing range and ability, I defy you to have me blindfold you and then tell me which version was CD and which was MD.

MP3 on the other hand.... I HATE HOW THEY SOUND. And I especially hate all the DJs who downloaded them from the Net, burned them to CD and DJ with them. The hi-end sounds like it's being played through a crisp packet. Actually, it sounds just like parts of the Misfits "Evilive" recording, but it was made in the early 80s!

I possess 10 MDs, which I re-record new stuff onto every week or two from my computer. An 80GB MP3 player or whatever might be able to hold shitloads, but what's the point? When you get fed up, just re-record some new stuff on.

  11. DLMFS for the Blacklist.

And those Fudge fekkers for being lazy and unreliable.

And that guy Brian for having a name that closely resembles "Brain" when he clearly has none.

But not Wazz or Wee Jamez cuz they're like little tamagotchis.

No, the sun is NOT giving me sunstroke. I think.
