  1. Zoinks! Casey Kasem's next Scooby Snack will be made using brown bread.

Point of order - scooby snacks were never made of bread of any hue. You may be confusing them with the humungous sandwiches so beloved of the hypoglycaemic pals, but scooby snacks are a kind of dog treat which both scooby and shaggy would do almost anything for. Producer William Hanna envisaged them as a kind of peanut butter flavoured cookie.

Nice work with the Zoinks! though.

  2. What's the name of those free versions of Microsoft Office? Is there another one other than Open Office, as Open Office insists on installing a load of shitty memory-clogging malware at the same time.

What malware? As far as I know there shouldn't be any. You sure you weren't redirected to a dodgy download?

  3. so why was my post deleted?

sometimes this place is nothing but a popularity contest

may as well just ban me from posting since 80% of the time my posts get deleted.

Because this is the quick questions thread. You've already had a page worth of 'which jacket should I buy', we don't need any more. Just buy whatever jacket you like most.

  4. Episode 2 looks like this so far, more tbc.

The whole idea is just to get the whole Aberdeen Music SceneTM  out to as many people as possible. I thought ep 1 was great, and the Lemon Tree gig at night was a hoot. Was speaking to Scott and some of the others and they were all really chuffed how well it went. Could quite easily have been a car crash but I think the amount of work that went into it beforehand meant it worked really well.

And it's not just Fat Hippy acts, obv. Just whoever Tom thinks will be good for the show, in fact the band Ocasan were just up on tour at the time, they're from Milton Keynes (and ace).

  5. Over priced tickets are one of my pet hates. But we set ourselves up for it really. If everyone just said to sellers that they should not do it, and not pay the seller the rip off price, then it might change. Can someone form R&B, II Music or any other shop please clarify something for me?

When was the last time someone came in to their shop and looked at the MRP of something and said 'yeh dude, I'll pay 4xtimes that for it...just give me it now'

I doubt that ever happens...so why do it with tickets. At the end of the day, after the gig date they are basically worthless (unless signed etc) even then it would take years to raise enough in value.

Guitars/gear is different. Because it may gain in value as it gets older and classed as 'vintage'.

Am I speaking shite here?.....I'm tired!

I don't think our new Culture Secretary agrees with you.

  6. Yes, Gerry's drummer, and a hundred other bands as well. Phenomenal drummer, world class, and a real toff of a guy too, always willing to help anyone out and never without a smile. We played with Gerry's band quite a lot and he never failed to amaze and inspire. Just watching him made me a better drummer. He'd been fighting cancer for the last year or so. A huge loss.
