  1. Deadloss suck on the grounds that waz woke me up by playing random shit early this morning and I NEED MY SLEEP..bastard *fucks off to seek revenge*
  2. I remeber the quote in the paper at the time, my girlfriend-at-the-time's dad was basically phoned up by the evening express and he told them a load of vague generic bollocks - which the paper then quoted him as actually having been at the scene, when in fact he was in his nice comfy office..was rather amusing at the time
  3. two cocktails for 4...and apple sourz for 1 each. are you trying to kill me? As soon as I can afford to, i'm coming back up to Aberdeen and..erm..visiting that fine establishment
  4. Well, I know that the Aberdeen College SA were known for not having the strictest checks on the age of a student, and when I got my last card, all I needed to do was bring along my offer letter and my national insurance card and they asked my date of birth - meaning I could pretty much have said anything. A lot of places won't even accept them these days, i only carried mine about in order to get stuff cheaper and not to actually use as any form of ID. A friend of mine used to work as a doorman, and he had firm knowlege that the college were also responsible for knowingly putting fake details on them. The RGU/Aberdeen Uni cards still have their integrity intact as far as I know though. What does make me laugh, but i understand exactly why they did was why the only place i've been asked recently for ID was Drakes. It's just a shame the licencing act doesn't extend to allowing 16 year olds in clubs provided they're 'marked' in some way to say that they're under 18. I can't remeber who told me this, but someone said that there's a venue where they give you a wristband in order to go into the area where the bar is, and you require ID in order to get one. Still, it's better being refused occasionally than having the situation like in America, where 30 year olds get asked for ID at bars just because they're so strict on the whole thing. It's nice to see Moshulu isn't ID'ing people just for the sake of it like what happens elsewhere, though
  5. Personally, I don't mind when somewhere doesn't let you in, it's just that when the bouncers resort to outright lies that it annoys me. I remeber trying to go into some place on union street once, only to be told that it was a private function..so we did a test and got a mate we saw to try and go in, and they never said a word to him. Does Moshulu not accept the various student association ID cards? Most places have no problem with them - and as for the Aberdeen University one, the fact there's no age on it is enough to say that you are 18, as the people who are under 18 get a little thing saying 'not 18 until x date' on theirs. i've never known anyone to have a problem with the lack of a date on those cards, anyway.
  6. *yawn* You *think* you know who they are. They might be big scary bastards who know six different martial arts disciplines and who could throw you to the floor two hundred and seventy seven different ways. You don't know that, do you? Chill man, there won't be any 'fucking up' of people around here, what on earth would it achieve? I'm simply telling you that it might not be such a wise idea as to throw your words around because there's always someone bigger, there's always someone harder who might just take offence to what you're saying. Maybe we should have a 'fuck shit up' night somewhere, in which there's a pit and people get to beat each other up to music..last man standing wins kinda thing - and we can have a 'king of the pit' title made of cardboard to celebrate their achievement in being the 'baddest motherfucker ever to step in a pit'. *turns overactive imagination off*
  7. You know all about the 'mosh pit rules', do you? Funny how you admitted a few posts ago that you 'target' people in the pits and you 'fuck people up' too. Or was that all talk and no action? I'd laugh at you if I knew who you were. And you *started* this shit, so what's wrong, can't big bad moshpit Jay handle the heat in the fire that he started? Seriously dude, you need to reevaluate why on earth you're complaining about something so trivial - and..dare I say it, if you had put across your complaints in an eloquent, proper manner, they'd likely pay attention to it and give you some feedback. And, come on - you're 22, have you not learnt that throwing insults about generally doesn't get you anywhere? Personally, i can't understand why anyone would intentionally go out of their way to hurt anyone in a pit - and if someone does get hurt and need help, surely common sense is to help them, not leave them lying. Regardless of who they are - even if they're scum who went in the pit in the first place to cause trouble, if they find themselves in trouble, it might just be best to help them out rather than prolong their agony. You never know, you might change their outlook on the whole thing. I understand that the nature of pits means injuries might be inevitable, but it's still no excuse to intentionally harm another person. </rant>
  8. Uh, after reading your posts and stuff, just how old are you? You don't go about 'targetting' people in pits, and you don't try and 'fuck people up' in the pits either. If that's your attitude towards them, you have some serious growing up to do. I don't care for pits, but the one thing I've always understood about them is that everyone looks after one another, regardless of the intensity of said pit. And..I wouldn't go about putting about that you're the baddest motherfucker to ever go in one - there's always going to be someone who's just as capable of leaving you for dead..remeber that. (and re : your other thread. I don't care who the fuck you are - you're a nobody to me, and i'm judging you on what you post.)
  9. Erm...I dunno if this is just me, but why do people complain about underagers constantly? And more importantly, how the fuck do these people who complain know that there's lots of underagers? Have they actually asked them for ID and seen proof that they're under 18? Just because people might look under 18 doesn't mean they are, for christ's sake.
  10. Just having read this read at this time in the morning, and I can't stop myself from replying from a *personal* standpoint about the general concept of not allowing certain types of people in. Firstly, i've never been in Moshulu, so I don't know what goes on inside there, I can only go from what i've been told and what people say about the place. I don't have any link with the place (unless you count the regular saturday night visits to Henry J's), so I can only really go on what's been said and done. I've also never worked in a bar, so it really is going on personal experience as a member of the public. It's painfully apparent to me what Flik and Rob are trying to say is that they aren't allowing the type of person who wears your average 'casual' uniform, on the grounds that this type of person is more likely to cause trouble than most others. I've personally seen people in my usual dive (the cotton club, solely for the cheap drink and destruction of songs on karaoke) dressed like your typical casual, starting fights and generally causing trouble. I've had to gang up with some friends to stop some guy dressed like that threatening a girl I know, and it's not unknown to usually get hassle off that type of person if you're in any way different (anyone that knows me can say that i'm generic and small, so i don't tend to attract much attention), yet i've had it in the past off little fuckers wearing exactly what they're talking about. Conversely, i've had problems off the 'alternative' brigade too, but that wasn't the physical assault kind - that was of the 'we're better than you' kind. That doesn't cause trouble (after all, it's their opinion), and from the vast majority of alternative people, they're usually just a bit suspicious to begin with, but fine afterwards (this is just my personal opinion, don't shoot me ). If there was any kind of elitism on Moshulu's part towards the 'casual' type of person, do you not think that they would have had a policy for a while and not just starting now? It's obviously been done with a bit of feedback, and I think where people might possibly getting confused is that being dressed is a subjective thing. I understand that they may not allow entry to someone who wears a burberry cap, one of those awful Henry Lloyd jumpers, black jeans and rockports - but what happens if that policy gets interpreted the wrong way one night and they refuse entry to someone like me, who tends to wear shoes, jeans and a shirt? That's the problem as I see it, the potential grey area between one of these idiotic casuals who go to Liquid and start a fight/etc and someone who's just out in town normally. I know nothing about the bouncers in Moshulu, so i can't comment as to whether it's a problem or not. At the end of the day, if it means banning a certain type of social group in order to create peace in the club, so be it. It's nice they've set the rules out clearly, rather than the majority of places which have no set definition of what's allowed and what's not, outside of the usual 'no trainers on fridays and saturdays' rule. Just so long as it doesn't end up being applied to people who are dressed generically so that they'll get in most places, it's not a big deal. And uh, final point...it seems all Moshulu's doing is clarifying something that wasn't set in stone, so to speak.
  11. Incidentally, it's always promoted that you should stay hydrated if you're drinking/taking drugs, right? I've never been in the vaults, so I can't comment as to the likelyhood of people getting fucked on various substances in there, but it's obvious there's going to be people drunk in there. soo..if they're denying people water in order to stay hydrated, shouldn't their practice at the very least be highlighted? fuck knows, i just know i'd never go to a place that didn't offer free water, i'm constantly too hot.
  12. Wasn't it already confirmed on the other thread that there's a loophole that can be exploited in order not to give out free water? Seeing as it's not technically illegal to do so, i suggest some sort of protest about it..i'm sure standing outside the vaults with a few signs pointing out the lack of free water, in a peaceful manner would soon kill a bit of their trade if they can't even extend to free water, they don't deserve to be in business..end of
