Drum Eyes combine dueling drums, cornets, keys and game boys to form a devastating live show. Their debut album dropped in September 2010 amidst feverish anticipation in the wake of members reputations and the bands devastation of audiences countrywide with their insatiable, mind expanding live performances including a set at Supersonic festival in 2009. Drum Eyes are a band who are impossible to pigeonhole in any category other than fantastic (but you can add Kraut, Motorik, Doom, Drone, Psych, Noise and experiMENTAL to the list as well). Myspace NME Review Drum Eyes - Album review: Drum Eyes - 'Gira Gira' (Upset The Rhythm) - Album Reviews - NME.COM PVH North Easts favourite noise crew come back to Aberdeen to play a very rare live date. Always one of the more interesting bands you will find in a creepy dark place. Expect nothing more than a sonic & vitriolic blast of noise & Heinze trying to keep up with his red faced throat music that even the Mongolian throat singers wince at. Myspace Matricarians are a loose collective of interesting improvisors who develop their live sound depending who they are playing along with.Led by Alan Davidson of Kitchen Cynics fame, The Matricarians take no prisoners & make lots of new friends along the way. 14. A wonderful & unique experience awaits those who want a Sunday evening of quiet entertainment & sonics. For the first time in Aberdeen we are trying to establish a twice yearly event in conjunction with Slow Club Glasgow. Every evening will has one CLASSIC film projected while guest live artists play a soundtrack in the mood of the evening, slow, reflective, dark, thoughtful whilst some light twinkles in a quiet way. We don't know what the film will be we don't know what the playlist will be but for certain Smackvan are truly wonderful, accessible & the nearest comparison is none barring a wee nod to Tindersticks but maybe different. ARCS have played a recent evening with Smackvan & by all accounts were simply superb. We want to build an evening where the ambience, the mood, the visual & the sound come together in a simple but quite different way from anything else in Aberdeen This is a sssssshhhhhh event a STFU evening
