Fugazi might not sell T-shirts, but it takes a page from Pearl Jam and The Pixies' book by releasing a slew of live appearances. Dischord Records announced it will make 20 live performances by the band available for purchase. Dating back to the band's first show in 1987 to a 1999 show. True to its low-pricing scheme, the albums, dubbed the Fugazi Live Series, will be priced $8 for a single-disc set and $10 for a double-disc show. Fugazi makes no bones about the recording quality of its shows. Its earliest shows were put to tape, then it graduated to DAT. "These are very much the original recordings without any attempt to correct for things like volume changes, strange mixing effects, or the occasionally out-of-tune guitar" the band explained on FugaziLiveSeries.com. "Though the sound quality on these tapes does vary, if a show was too poorly recorded it didn't make the cut."
