  1. Hello! Congratulations. Isn't it fun to have somewhere you can call your own
  2. Dammit, I never sell any tickets... Bring your friends! And get your tickets from me
  3. I see ex-King Diamond guitarist Glen Drover has been confirmed as new guitarist for the tour... "Glen Drover" - Dan pointed out that it sounds like a brand of Whiskey... I pointed out that it sounds like Ben Dover, the rubbish chap who used to be on the adult channel...
  4. Ain't got no idea, ain't been in there since I was 14 getting pissed on Jim Beam with my brother... As far as I know it's an all-dayer and I think we're on last...
  5. WOW!! That's the best news I've heard in ages, must be over a year since we last played together! Hoorah!
  6. Off the original topic again... Stripey has finally been banned! So I guess we won... ...as if that was in any doubt! I just read this thread again and sniggered like a schoolboy at the amount of times he got owned
  7. Souness has been a bit better since he shaved his moustache off... coincidence? I think not. Although his face looks wrong now, it's sort of like there's a moustache-shaped hole in it... Football is ace by the way
  8. Wow! Do you guys actually count how many gigs you've played? I wish we'd done that, I've got absolutely no idea how many we've done... No idea at all... I couldn't even hazard a guess! Well, if the 100th is still to come then good luck with it, I hope it's a legendary one...
  9. He's fine... currently the singer in 'End of Everything' (a glasgow-based band) and 'To Keep It Safe' (although it looks like they might have gone tits up). Yeah, he snogged a girl at the weekend so he's currently in a good mood...
  10. Yeah, I've played enough gigs to know that what we hear on stage is not neccessarily what everyone else hears off stage That's just the way it goes though
  11. I work with Sid (the singer) at the Belmont running the most beardy bar in the land on Tuesday nights ... we were talking about RBC just the other day actually...
  12. Hey, I just noticed that yesterday I've never bothered to learn any Megadeth on the guitar before but I just learned 'Tornado of Souls' That main riff totally kicks ass!
  13. Our next is at the RGU Union on Monday the 20th of September... it's the start of freshers week so pissed student metal fans ahoy! We also play the Friday of the same week (the 24th) at Kef... Come on down, we'll hopefully be messing about with the setlist so you might get something fun and new (or fun and old!). Either way it's all good. Metal forever!
  14. Thanks to all who came to the gig... it was a good night! Addicted to Chaos certainly show signs that one day they could be very good indeed. They look so young but played very well, the guitarists impressed me greatly (it was like they'd cloned Dan, and made him young, only twice! The vests and hair, well, what else can I say ) and the singer also has a very powerful voice... the only thing I'd say to him is that he shouldn't wear his glasses on-stage, as it didn't allow him to shake his head in the proper manner... either get contacts or just resort to not being able to see, like me HMG played a blinder, it was good to play with our bestest band buddies again, hopefully we shall again soon! I felt our gig went pretty well, although the sound was a bit weird from where I was standing. And I arsed the key change in All We Are... (again!) But it was good fun, the crowd were up for it, and at the next gig we'll wheel out some new songs which we haven't played live yet Cheers
  15. That's right, and Mac made that joke about their 'Czech' shirts... then afterwards he asked them if they wanted paid in cash or by 'Czech'... ah, he'll be the death of me, how we laughed!
  16. Well, I wouldn't have swopped being in Ozzy's band for being in Metallica... Maybe in 1986 when Metallica were still good I would have... actually, hell no! I bet Ozzy was a laugh in the 80's but being on the road with Lars Ulrich would send anyone mental...
  17. Yeah, Capitol had apparently lost the original vocal take for TNP when Dave M went back to remix everything, so he had to do them again... I think he also used a different take from the original sessions for the 5 Magics ones, and had to rerecord the backing vocals for it now (at least, that's what I read in a few places). The Daves are suing each other, but I can't remember if it's to do with royalties or Dave M's right to use the name Megadeth or what...
  18. Shush Whizzard... we don't talk about the synths, you should know that by now!
  19. I bought the RIP remaster... it's really cool Just that bit heavier sounding than it was before... the new Take No Prisoners vocals don't sit quite right, but they're not as bad as everyone on the megadeth bb make out
  20. I'm afraid I didn't... it was bloody busy up there at the time! Sorry... Feel free to say hello next time
  21. Not particularly likely I'm afraid... sorry...
  22. See, we actually played Losing the Truth a couple of times before Dan was even in the band... but it never went down too well (perhaps we ballsed it both times, I can't really remember to be honest). It's a bit of a fecker to sing, but I guess if you and Mouse are both screaming for it then it might happen at some point... I'm guessing we'll probably play everything from the new album and the EP and maybe even all the first 4 tracks from Disco again at some point soon (not all at one gig though! That'd be stupid) which gives us quite a lot to choose from really... oh the joy And the whole of Chasing Ghosts... well, that's not such a bad idea. Maybe we'll do that sometime...
  23. Bollocks to a new cover, we've got loads of new songs! Don't any of you want to hear Ashes of the End or Age of Decay? Was no-one chuffed to hear Desolation at the cd launch for the first time in a year? Honestly, I don't know why we bother...
  24. Shit!! So had I! That was awesome... I always wondered who that was who gave me the hat The gig finished, I staggered away and someone came up to me and went "wow! The guy from Black Atom! Wear this hat"... so I did! then I staggered out of the hall to the queue for coats, which was massive, and someone down the front of the line went "wow! The guy from Black Atom! In a Santa hat! Join me in the queue!" and saved me 3/4 of an hour waiting ot get my coat back A crazy couple of minutes... but not as crazy as the time me and Rico were down near the front at Donington last year, and a guy right next to me turns around and says "Wow! You're the guy from Black Atom! I love you guys!" That was fecking surreal... Thanks for the hat by the way
