  1. I got a new mobile the other day off eBay. Bit of a bargain but even more so considering it came with a rude video downloaded on it. Thankfully not amatuer stuff, just some blonde chick with mahoosive boobies wandering around a field. Very entertaining stuff :D

  2. I was amused that Jack White threw a wobbly about it being used for a Coke Zero advert, when about 2 years ago he wrote a song specifically for Coca-Cola.

Don't think much of the song, as a Jack White effort it's safe and a bit of a no brainer, an album filler. As a Bond theme it's pretty shite.

  3. The man that posts here as Jimsin, no doubt! He'll be able to put you in touch with Keeva...

    Still...burlesque, bah, and indeed, humbug...

 It's all got a bit fashionable hasn't it. Every girl you meet is giving it a bash and paying for lessons when all you need are a pair of heels, long gloves, a mirror and some music, preferably with a sax solo.

Regardless, Sapphire used to do burlesque classes on the first Saturday of the month during the day with shows at night, give it a google and you'll find the website with details.

  4. May I recommend the early 90s band Jellyfish who were the perfect powerpop band, brilliant but short lived. Only two albums (Bellybutton and Split Milk) but fantastic and legendary

YouTube - Jellyfish - The Ghost at Number One (Live on Later...)

The Grays (Brendan Benson and Jason Falkner)

YouTube - The Grays - Very Best Years

    Jason Falkner ex Jellyfish

Then there's the older bands like Cheap Trick, Big Star and Badfinger etc et

Winner. Jason Faulkner also produced Brenden Benson's second album (Lapalco) which is one of my favourite album...hence the use of Metarie as an internet name :)

  5. Thought it was worth explaining this in more detail [before I get flamed]:

Imagine you have one customer who drinks only Brand X, and will sit and guzzle half a case of brand X in an evening. If that customer visits several times a week then you'll need to order 15-20 cases of brand X per month. Now imagine another customer who does the same with brand Y and so forth.

So that's what...everyone who goes to The Moorings :p

No Baltica though, or are we just talking bottled beers?

  6. spotted: last sunday

drinking: copious amounts of red wine

    losing: his dignity

how?: singing high school musical singstar and getting an A+ on it. repeatedly.

:D ace. Please tell me he was in full Deadloss get up...cowboy hat and shades?

  7. I was slightly baffled by that. I like how the album title is reminiscent of that 'Somewhere over the rainbow' song she covered. My boyfriend was sure it was just a re-release until I pointed out that the sticker says 'all new songs'. She was either extremely prolific while she was alive or there's something sinister afoot.

  8. It's a sunny day and I'm off work, always a winner. Although obviously I'm not making the most of it if I'm sitting on a computer :p

Meeting a buddy for coffee who I've not seen in ages in a wee while, then dinner with another friend then over to my boyfriends to watch cheesy horror films, good times.

And one of my best friends is coming back from America on Sunday.
