VERY soft yellows for Russell
Thought that was a stick on yellow to be honest.

Some absolutely comical decisions in the Hamilton/Dons game yesterday from Willie Collum and his team. They're surely due a full-scale demotion soon.
Even in the depths of Collum's dismal reputation that was a stinker of a performance. The penalty non-award was one of the most blatant stonewallers I've ever seen. You almost have to admire his ability to compound a fuckup by awarding Hamilton the freekick instead in that instance.

Not convinced Jack is going to leave. McInnes has made all the right noises about him recently and I can't seem him going until the summer at least. I think it's more likely that Robson may be allowed to leave on a free today to a club where he's more likely to get a regular game to see out his last season or so.

Is it possible to unshrink a wool jumper that's shrunk in the wash?
I have two nice, light wool jumpers I bought for work and I've managed to shrink them in the wash. Are they dead to me now or can I save them?

I thought they were mostly outdoor badminton courts, will have another look
Would badminton work outdoors in NE Scotland? Not a bit windy?
The council sports centres section off bits of the gym halls and put up nets for you I think. When I used to do Tae Kwon Do the school was temporarily based at one of the sports centres and there was always badminton folk in before us.

Congrats Spoonie!
We're two weeks in with our baby girl. It's a wonderful, sleep deprived, stinky, experience.

Where can you hire a court indoors for badminton, other than ASV?
Bearing in mind, I'm a member of PureGym.
Most of the council sports centres , Kincorth, Summerhill etc.

Bridget Jones - The Edge Of Reason
What the fuck is wrong with people? Why was this film so popular? Why does my wife like it? Why did I stay in the same room while it was on last night?

You could be mistaken for thinking that Aberdeen have won the league, judging from my Facebook newsfeed.
Ahaha. Obviously we're all delighted to be top of the league, but I don't think there's a single Dons fan out there that doesn't realise how tough it would be to stay there for the distance. We're just enjoying it while it lasts.
Really though, Celtic being 2nd in a supposedly one team league and ANYONE other than them being top after Christmas is fucking hilarious. 5 points separate the top five in what often seems regarded as the least competitive league in Europe. It's brilliant.

Anyone interested in seeing BBC Radio Newcastle's Nick Barnes' colourful and organised commentary notes? Of course you are:

He even draws stadium diagrams with chequered pitch patterns

Where's the best place to park in town? I started my new job at Apple, and parking outside union square is a bit dodgy...! Where are alternatives that is safe enough?
Within walking distance of Union Square and free? Torry. South Esplanade West and East, Sinclair Road, Crombie Road and Victoria Road amongst others all have free parking. Though a lot of it is near fish processors so there's a high chance of your car being covered in shit when you get back to it.
Also loads of spaces on Riverside Drive outside Riverside House if you get there early enough during the working week.

The Newsroom season 3 - A bit preachy, but Sorkin's fucking smart at dialogue.
Also, everyone from every TV show ever is in it.
I heard bad things about this when it started so didn't bother watching it, though I loved other things Sorkin has done. Is it worth getting into then?

12 months notice on a one year rolling contract...

A sad day for Scottish football. What if the baddies end up with someone capable? Awful business.
Don't worry, he won't be going anywhere. This is just so he can say he offered to resign when the fans complain about how shite he is, knowing full well they can't afford to agree to his resignation terms.

Someone on Gumtree has posted the same advert twice in the last month. I've sent them a message twice saying I'd like to buy it and not got a response to either one. Let me buy your stuff for fuck's sake!

Well there's only a month left of the year so how's everyone getting on?
So the goal is to learn to sight read. To begin with I'm going with doing it on the mandolin, it's my new obsession and has less notes to learn than guitar. Plus I'm far too stuck in my ways just now on 6 strings, I'll cross that bridge later.
I made great progress at the start of the year then life got in the way as usual and I've spent the second half of the year selling one house, moving into another and preparing for the arrival of a baby so haven't devoted as much time to music as I wish I could have.
Having said that I'm fairly happy that given a piece of sheet music for a fiddle tune I can sit down with it and muddle through it on the mandolin. So as a basis for me progressing, improving and building a repertoire on the mandolin it's been a success and I feel like I understand a lot more than I did this time last year.
How's everyone else doing?

It's not 6 months. Seems to have been caused by LvG's broken English and journalists just hearing "6 months" and punching it into Tweets as fast as they could. He said he needs 10 days in a brace and then he gets another scan "But won't be 6 months or so".
Was it not from an official Man Utd tweet saying he was out for 6 months which has now been deleted?

Hog did a great job of my brother's wedding. We tried to get him for ours but he was fully booked. However he recommended Jules McDonald from up near Peterhead who was fantastic. Couldn't have been happier with how our pics turned out for the pre-shoot and the day itself.

Applied for a job which I was really keen on. Wrote a really nice, professional covering letter and gave the CV a wee spit and polish. Didn't even get an interview.
18 months of trying to move job gets pretty tiring.
