  1. It's definately a shame coz i'm sure people like Cowboy Dan are probably ok, but given anonimity they seem to loose all maturity and intellect. Very strange.
  2. Have to say Dashboard was my fav- i like pretty much all their stuff though. Not sure about the oasis one, not heard it but unless it's stuff off Definately Maybe or (What's The Story) Morning Glory i probably wouldn't like it.
  3. Yeah, have Dashboard's, Alice In Chains, Nirvana, and an REM one. REM have a lot of acoustic led stuff that's worth checking out if you like that sort of thing.
  4. Twice- flashbacks!!! Rubbish on kitchen floor. Bathroom on stilts. Smoking weed and playing cards upstairs. Ah, all the hallmarks of a 5 star hotel!!
  5. Yeah, NFG have some good acoustic bootlegs kicking around. As do The Ataris.
  6. Ain't seen P.O.O for ages, will probably be at this gig though to see Anberlin so will likely see you guys as well.
  7. "Run" is cool. Some of Snow Patrol's earlier stuff is good as well. Ain't heard the GC acoustic thing though.
  8. Anberlin ain't really acoustic but they have a sort of Jimmy Eat World vibe to their stuff. They're on Tooth and Nail records along with Further Seems Forever (who you might like as well) and have at least one album that i know of out called "Blueprints For The Black Market" which is well worth a listen. They're supporting Holiday Plan at Moshulu as well, as far as i know. Can't wait to see Straylight Run support Sugarcult!
  9. Cheers. I have to be in the right sort of mood to listen to Nick Drake, and Damien Rice has some good tunes as well. Que mass lynching, but Snow Patrol's "Chocolate" is an ace song too.
  10. Totally' date=' have both the above myself. Forgot to plug my own band- check out "Subdued" on [url']www.purevolume.com/cedarrose for some lovely emotionally charged acoustic music!
  11. if you like this sort of stuff you should check out Sense Field, Anberlin and Straylight Run. Also, Saosin do an awesome version of Seven Years acoustic.
  12. Very, very beautiful! That's pretty much made my day.
  13. "Setting yourself up for a big ramshackling anti-emo thread by someone who hasn`t the foggiest what emo is but uses it as a way to dismiss metal, punk and hc bands that have songs in the major key with singing aswell as growling." I wait with baited breath my good man.
  14. Yeah, all the songs i've heard are really good. It's just the sort of music that makes my heart sing, they're just one of those bands that can lift me up no matter what. I can really identify with the lyrics etc. They just seem to get better and better.
  15. Yup, downloading again- can anyone suggest any acoustic led emo style bands. My brain ain't working too good.
  16. Anyone else heard stuff off the new album yet? Jon Bunch's (ex Sense Field) voice sounds awesome and is every bit as emotive and powerful as Chris Carrabba and Jason Gleason before him. Apparently "Hide Nothing" will be available in the uk on import on 06/09/04, dunno whether the three track acoustic cd will be included with the import. Can't wait- check out www.purevolume.com or www.furtherseemsforever.com for mp3s etc. Phil.
  17. Suvara have had to pull out. This means that the new line-up is: Kenny Brownlie (Screaming Nebraska): Earstwhile frontman unleashes 1st solo acostic set for over a year!!! 18. 'tis the truth my good man- will look forward to seeing you there. We're on around 10ish.
  19. Cedar Rose now have a profile up on http://www.purevolume.com/cedarrose where the song "Subdued" is available for download or to play on the site. More songs and info will be added soon. Feel free to check it out and feedback from new listeners would be most apreciated. Thanx Phil. Ps. 20. Yup, we're playing on the 27th (this friday) with Suvara at Drakes. It's gonna be a semi-acoustic gig coz our drummer (Neil) is gonna be at Leeds. We're on around 10ish so if anyone wants to come along and check out our interesting music then feel free to do so. Hope to see as many of you there as possible Cheers Phil
