Fragrance Questions - Uni Project Help

I have uni project and I thought I would ask the guys 'n' gals on the forum some questions as an informal survey for some preliminary research.

I have to design a vending machine that will somehow distribute a fragrance 'top up.' So lets imagine a typical Friday evening...you've had your shower and gone into town. Three hours later and 'getting down with your bad self' has made you a little less fresh...ok...your stinky! You pop into the rest room. You disposite your money/card/voucher into an attractive wall mounted vending machine (oh isn't it nice!)...which then sprays you in the face (or some other form of distrobution) with...

...well tell me what are popular fragrances and which do you choose to wear?

I am asking the same question on another forum I post on as well + will be combining it with some market research to find out which fragrance(s) to use. I really apprciate you reading this and any replies, cheers!

So far the other forum has returned some interesting results. Almost 30 people replied and provided many types of perfumes...25 or more. It is proving difficult to tease out a 'winner'...thinking it might be an idea to offer a range of fragrances instead. I thought this might be the case but good to back it up

I quite like 'Carbon Glacier'. Haven't heard her other ones yet. I'm too lazy and mean to go down though.

Get the new one Alan...it's much better than Carbon Glacier in my opinion. Some real gems on it.

Stevie Ray Vaughan - Little Wing...technically the whole thing is a solo but it is so frickin awesom.

Metallica - Unforgiven II...great solo, great backing guitar and keyboard lifting the ending up. Awesom.

I'm not sure if anyone on the forum listens to Laura Veirs but I thought I'd put a post up. She is playing in Edinburgh on the 13th <next Monday> you can get more details from her site: www.lauraveirs.com tickets are £8 and it is at 7pm. Quite short notice but I think this will be a really awesom gig. I doubt she makes the trip over from Seattle very often.

Thats the point I think Mac was making...just because people say it is good doesn't mean it is. My critism has nothing to do with personal taste. I was intially <before it got a little out of hand> raising points about playing ability....personal taste doesn't come into it.

and finding it difficult to do without sounding like a negative ninny all the time...I don't want to sound like a tosser I just want you to realise what some people think. Mouses post looks much more positive and I wish I could write one like that but I can't...too often people say to bands "that was a great gig" I've had it happen to me...then 1 year later I look back and think "the lying bastards we were crap personified!"

You still KEEP saying things like "Sorry for all those who expect everything note-perfect, but hey, even Metallica fuck their parts up!" I'll say it once more and hopefully you might have the balls to agree...the solos were not missing a few notes they were played badly. They were out of time and missing huge sections when the guitarist didn't know where he was. I am not going to continue and argue the point. I was standing about 4 feet from the guy!

Jeez...just accept that there was some people at your gig who know how to play guitar + have an extensive knowledge of Metallica/music in general and they thought you were a bad act!

Please come back to Aberdeen and I'll bring some more people along and see what they say...

We were right at the front...at the barrier. Its not that the solos "weren't quite right" it was the fact that they went like this "3 notes....pause...pause...2 notes...ermmm how does it go?.....oh I'll just waggle the whammy bar....phew!"

If all you want to do is nit-pick then be my guest, but you won't really achieve anything with unconstructive criticism.

I am not nit picking...nit picking would be saying you didn't quite manage the 3rd passage in the classical one solo...I was pointing out serious flaws!

Also, about the 4/4 drumming? That is just fucking bollocks! You can't do the instrumental bit of Blackened in 4/4 - open your ears man! We have the drum-tab book - we know!

I was exagerating a point there...a lot of the set appeared to be in standard beats...non of the Lars big back beats...sly chyna hits and general energy...it was there but it wasn't Lars by any stretch of the imagination

What you should do is get a recording of your selves then you can listen back and see what it sounds like...I don't want to continue posting arguments over and over again. I thought you were sub standard as did the 5 other people I was with...only two of which were guitarists.

If the Lemon Tree didn't invite you back I am sure it would have nothing to do with me. They can make up their own minds. If they did ask you back make sure you get a mini disk connected to that sound board...

If you'd said 200-250 I'd have been interested as I already have one and would quite like one for slide or something. I got mines new for 349 almost 2 years ago.
