  1. Purple Roto Sound or Purple Tortex Dunlops...1.14mm, nice and hard for playing bass. For guitar the green tortex or the yellow. I have also played with these cool picks that have a plastic tip and a rubber grip....quite cool.

Totally, that is why I am continuing to save so I can afford something that will last and deliver. Hartke is the plan but it's alot of money to part with....mmm aluminium drivers

  3. Well my knee is about the size of a bowling ball and has as many holes in it so once that's healed. If there's anything going in mid to late September we'd appriciate a gig or if you need a band to fill a cancelled slot that'd be cool around then too. We've got the DDG night in october which should be cool.

also superstar dj'ing from TV TANNED

if any other bands want to step in at the last minute and play too then get in touch....!!

Shit if only I wasn't lying in a hospital bed I would totally have been up for playing!

(and having a mic gives you a safety net if the DI fucks up.)

Ahhh cool mystery solved always wanted to know what went on with the bass sound when I am playing/listening there.

  6. There's EBS who make good quality Bass pedals though not sure if they do a distortion one I shall have to check. Boss always make good pedals can't really fault them. There's the elctroharmonix big muff that gives a fuzz-ier kind of distortion. It's a classic, I have one and I rekon it's mighty good.

Most bands I work with who use bass distortion don't have compression on it. Compressing an O/D sound is neither big nor clever. Compress it before hand if you must but I refer you to the above about body armour.

How much of the sound comes from the amp at gigs anyhoo. For example Kef use a D.I box and Mic the amp too if my memory serves me correctly?

  8. I think a name is important. If people see a catchy/cool name they are more likely to remember you. Also it can communicate the style of music/what you have to say in one or a few words...e.g Metallica...obviously a metal band.

    Cheers a lot - Brian:band:

I am there. I have one or two of your MP3's and I wanna see you live. Do you have any CD's?
