Looked on the net once i got it and found no obvious record of it.

Yeah pretty original guitar, does it not have some acoustic simulation circuit built in?

Thanks to all of u who made the greastest local gig i've ever seen. Maybe our next recording could be called " HMG live tonight-SOLD OUT" HA HA HA.

warmoth stuff is excellent. i got the neck for the guitar i'm building just now from them. quick excellent service :D

That's where I am getting the neck for my telecaster...hand made body ala Tav from.

Black body. Mirrored steel steel scratch plate. Chrome 'bucker at bridge...prob. one of my own and a typical tele single at neck. Hard rock <white> maple neck with black machine heads. Chrome hard-ware on body. Standard tele wiring with a push/push pot on the humbucker to split it and a push/push mute switch for live gigs...or so the plan goes.

I also have plans for a V and a SG to be made up soon. I love building guitars.

    sounds promising...

They are made of ash or alder which is your standard wood for a Fender body. They have been fully routed in the standard tele way. This means you could rout out the pick up holes to fit humbuckers or what not.

Unless your going for tonal snobbery I think a 70 body is a good deal...considering most replacement bodies cost around the same amount? And a guitar size slab of good alder is 70 anyhoo...your getting value and a solid piece of wood...what more could you want?

You don't have to tell me that, I know. The only reason these are 70 is that they are some left over stock from a factory somewhere so they are just selling them off.

As for routing cavities the best thing to use is...a router...sure chisels can be used but it's far easier to use a router. Infact anyone thinking of making guitars should invest in one as it saves alot of time and gives great results...or you could borrow/rent one if the price is too steep.

not unless someone wants to take one that does?!

I'll try and get hold of one if not I have Metallica DVDs that are UK we could use too...

Or if we can get a PS2 I am sure we can get the multi-region disk but it has to be a newer PS2 cause it doesn't work on the first ones, otherwise I would have take my one.

    Im up for it!

    I was thinking...

    Metallica LIVE IN ABERDEEN!!!

That's right Metallica playing live material from their "Nowhere left to roam" tour. That's not metallic-all...

Support for one night only from ALICE IN CHAINS. Yes the grunge/metal super band are coming back for one last gig. Material from their very first album, Facelift!

  8. You know you want this, I have the following....

    Pick from -

Alice In Chains - Facelift...like 30mins of great rocking live music. Filmed in Seattle at a charity event it cost 6000 to film but looks and sounds great.

Alice In Chains - Unplugged...perhaps the greatest Unplugged gig ever.

Metallica - Live Shit Bing And Purge...pick between 1989 ...And Justic Tour or 1991 Black Album tour...you'll never see better Metallica...

Metallica - Cunning Stunt...between Load and Re-Load great concert...Metallica at their biggest and most flashy...fantastic too.
