  1. I'm on a 5 week degen binge....one bad beat sets me off..

Online poker is strange just now...Q9o seems to be a snap call for a 4 bet shove to most...pity the fkr's are always (ever so slightly) ahead....

  2. Why they have to publish peoples addresses is beyond me o_O

"Cairnlee House is a therapeutic community and residential home for young people with a wide variety of special needs."

Suppose it helps put things a bit more in context!!!

  3. urrgghh....that deep stack tourney is horrible....8pm the first card is dealt.....was still sitting there at 3.30am...cashed for my entry fee after shoving blind because i couldn't take anymore and had to be up for 7am...never again...

  4. The Alesis SR16 is the best in my mind, its very simple, the sounds can be tuned etc. so if the sound isn't cutting it in the live mix, tuning them down a few notches usually helps (makes it heavier, which you really need with vocal PA's as they just sound way too thin on those live)...there are 4 outputs on it so you could have your kick and snare going to their own channel on the PA if you have the luxury at your disposal, EQing them into their own space would help the 2 cut across...I've did a load of gigs with drum machines and sometimes its awful if the drum machine just sounds like a noise and you can't clearly hear the transients of each drum..the programming is dead easy on the SR16, either real time or step programmable, it can be quantized, or off-beat...some other big advantages, you can stop and start it with a foot switch (great if you have an intro and don't want to deafen the place with a click track intro, NEVER use clicks live, use hi hat for timing) Building songs with the patterns is very easy aswell....I think it does time changes aswell...I can't remember if you can rotate through your songs with a foot pedal aswell (you can rotate through your patterns, add fills etc. with a pedal, but its best to have these programmed unless you're just jamming over one beat). Its fully MIDI compatible so you can drive a better sampler with it if you eventually get sick of the sound....and they are CHEAP...about 100 new or probably 50 ebay...it cost me 50 for a replacement adaptor for mine from R&B....but you can use the adaptor from your old NES or SNES fine enough with it (I did this on tour!)

I really like this drum machine...

  5. Oh sweet....Tuesday is a 30 deep stack...didnt realise thursday was a 40 one...was going to go along tonight but its usually a 50+50 which is never fun to bubble...I am there...

  6. A record show up of SIX runners on Tuesday o_O really could have made it our game...they didnt do the league game due to the small amount so we did a 50 buy in winnner takes all instead....easiest game Ive taken down

I don't know if the 40 deepstack (100BB) tourney at the G on a tuesday now is taking everyone away...

  7. Tonight is the 25 Freeze at the nash...anyone going? Numbers have been so low recently we could practically make it our abm tourney with some added value from the "regs"

  8. It can't be this Saturday (not at Nash anyway) as its the Nuts League regional final so I'll be playing that instead and all the tables/chips will be in use...the following sat may be their big 100+100 game....I'm sure up on the wall theres a sign saying that SNG's don't kick off till 10pm..

  9. I'm amazed and delighted by this. No rake is enough to get even a nit like me playing live

I have seen people playing 50NL live at the nash with no rake...its crazy that no one sees the value in this, instead they gambo it up at the G 100NL games where all the value goes down the tubes...that said, cash games at the Nash as usually 200NL and they usually mix in some 7 card omaha, pot limit super stud and other hilarities that unless you have a 20k bankroll is a one way ticket to bustoville...been there...
