  1. Due to a departing member, Aberdeen-based folk/rock band The Deportees are urgently looking for an experienced drummer to complete our line up.

We have an album recorded and nearly ready for release, and are looking for someone who is willing to commit to a weekly practice, and once up-to-speed, playing live in support of the record.

Get in touch via contactthedeportees@gmail.com if you are interested, and someone will get back to you to discuss further.

Thanks! Please feel free to share/pass on.

  3. Well you've clearly mistakenly given number 6 to Kucka and number 4 to Lovren.

Can you please explain your formation/style? I want to see it all (TWSS). Both home/away formations or whatever, including all instructions. Any individual player instructions?

Looks a pretty tidy squad - how's the depth?

That or a 6 hour video of Rangers' (RIP) greatest goals while having all your body hair slowly burnt off by Turkish midgets?

At least it's football, for a start. Any football is better than car shit. And - to their credit - them Turks do know how to shave. Who am I to question their methods?

The Monaco Grand Prix, the 100th Indy 500, and new series of Top Gear all in a delicious row this Sunday. Good luck getting me off the sofa that day.

I would personally much rather do anything else.

  6. PREDICTIONS:

Mourinho will be given cash to spend, and probably buy reasonably well for his style. He will win the Premier League and a domestic cup, semis of the Champs' League when they get back there.

The 14 academy graduates that were given a look in this year will nearly all go out on loan, with the exception of perhaps Tim Fosu-Mensah who is a beast that Mourinho will try to turn into a central midfield destroyer, giving him limited game time.

Depay will be turned into an archetypal tricky-creative-turned-industrious-but-effective-winger in the classic Jose way.

Mata's spirit will be ground down until he requests a move for his own sanity.

Jose will last a maximum of four years, leaving the club/dressing room completely fucked, and having sold/released many of the 14 graduates mentioned above.

  7. DUNDEE UNITED FANS: Talk to me about Robbie Muirhead.

What's the deal? Tipped for big things at Kilmarnock, signed for Utd for a reasonable chunk of cash (£150k), barely featured, sent on loan, then released from his contract last month. Eh?

  8. Bale cast as Bateman was perfect.

The film is annoying - and I'm very glad I read the book before watching the film because I may have avoided the book after seeing the film. I see the book as quite funny, satire on a specific generation of NYC yuppies. The film is just about an American dude who is a psycho.

My call on the ending is number 1 above, which is also a little annoying but the best fit for me/my interpretation of the book.

I'm no expert on literature, but I think it's all the layering and the fact it IS open to interpretation on various levels of the layers that makes it so good to read/accessible despite the horrific actual words.
