  1. Doors at the Lemon Tree for the Karloff and Black Atom CD launch party are 9pm, with the Dangerfields (http://www.thedangerfields.com/) hitting the stage first at 9:30pm. Double Jack (http://www.doublejack.co.uk/) will follow them, then the mighty Black Atom (http://www.blackatom.co.uk/) and finally Karloff (http://www.kultkarloff.com/) to close out the night.

Black Atom and Karloff also make their in-store appearence gig at One-Up at 1pm tomorrow. Sadly the Black Atom CD will not be available at that point (see Black Atom forum for details), but they have been assured it will be available at the Lemon Tree later that night. The Karloff mini-album "Self Made Monsters" will be on-sale at One-Up during the performance.

  2. i dont know why but when i bumped into you guys earlier and got the fliers from you and the tickets i got sooooooooo excited about friday! i mean' date=' its the day after the day after tomorro!!!

i really cant wait, i went skipping around st nics telling everyone to go and screaming at them and pleading and begging etc if they werent

    yes i was quite hyper.....

    I CANT WAIT!!!!!![/quote']

    Wow.

    Black Atom gets you wet.

  3. You know the saying...

One mans sacrificial Maiden' date=' is another mans nuisance.[/quote']

The worst part would be getting rid of her body. I don't think it would quite fit in my waste disposal unit, and I don't really have any storage space left. I could maybe prop her up on my inflatable couch and tell people it's a maniquin...?

PS : You should get hold of the old film "Yellowbeard". It's the best pirate film ever made, starring most of Monty Python and even Spike Milligan and Cheech and Chong!

  4. But you'd go down in history as "The girl who died for Black Atom and Karloff, launching their careers in stratospheric fashion!".

    How neat would that be?

But you might go down in the Lemon Tree staff's memories as "The girl who bled all over the carpet, forcing us to hire in cleaners and buy new clothes.".

To be honest, as long as Mac doesn't attempt any on-stage comedy, I don't think you'll be dieing any time soon...

  5. Personally I'm pretty much done with buying new stuff from R&B....an amp that was broken when I bought and has been repaired to death (DSL100!!)

I've had the same with my DSL50 I bought from them. It has eaten 3 output transformers in the past 4 years, the last 2 replaced by Marshall free of charge after some severe ranting and raving from me. I now have a 2203 that I've modded for more gain which I use as my primary amp, and carry the DSL only in case of emergency. The 2203 also has much better tone, as you folks who buy our new "Self Made Monsters" mini-album on Friday 13th will testify... ;)

  6. Ross currently has a Ampeg SVT Pro classic 8/8 600w Cab and an Ashdown 300 evo 320W Head. A while back during a soundcheck I was sitting downstairs with Charlie CLS having dinner when we heard a huge booming sound coming through the Roof. Charlie ran upstairs to see who was fucking with his PA only to discover the PA was muted and someone (who shall remain nameless) had plugged an active bass into the passive input on Ross's Bass rig.

Which was nice' date=' luckily the Cab came through unscathed.

We'll have a 48 channel desk front of house, and our inhouse 32 Channel desk for monitors, so we will be able to keep their settings well away from anything that the supports need.[/quote']

Someone's been spending his pennies! Now all you have to do is get that lacky into a band... ;)

Desk arrangement sounds good. You lucky punters might wanna bring paracetamol for pos-gig administration. It's gonna be LOUD.

  7. That should keep Jimmy CLS happy.

Monitors too. The guy in Belfast at the Limelight had a rare old time keeping them loud enough for the guys without everything feeding back like hell. They somehow managed it after 10 or 15 minutes, and then it was like "DON'T TOUCH A THING!!".
