Flights
If you're buying a MG be sure to buy a decent welder ;-) You'll definitely manage to pick up a zr up here for a decent price. Just be prepared for it breaking down. Which it will do. A lot.
Little Green
been looking since May and nothing decent came up.
Flights
Is there a particular reason for the MG? There's plenty of 1.4 hot hatches about that would be a safer buy.
Little Green
i like the zr.sporty looking as standard for the trophy models anyways.plus they arent over rated nowadays ie)not everyone has one!
Flights
That may be due to their infamous reliability issues.
fatboy
how many miles has it done and if high has it had the head gasket done, those k-series engines have a very porous block
fatboy
also spare parts are getting hard to come by, thus aftermarket companies are building their own copy parts to a lesser quality control for a higher price due to demand. Teabags
From now on, if I ever have a question that I want a thorough and prompt reply to...I'm gonna PM Little Green and get her to ask it.
Diesel
I'm stunned that Little Green wants to pursue what is not only a shit car (which the MG is), but one that is Cat D registered with a questionable history. Cars is an area I know quite a good deal about, having worked on them for years - so, whilst I don't know you and most certainly never will, please for the love of God do not buy this car. 2 large is a decent amount of wedge. Look further afield, you'd get a much better deal in the Central Belt. Get yourself a decent hatchback with a low mileage, anything by Ford, Vauxhall, VW or the Japs. They're out there Good luck
Little Green
^ i didnt say i was dead set on itYes i like zr's and i didnt know this was a cat D until yesterday!!! Initially the seller told me it had been in an accident but repaired by the insurer with proof..... only now is he changing it and thats bc i asked is it cat c or d.saying it was in an accident and repaired by the insurer and saying it was previous cat D are 2 different things. qutie like focus's and fiestas (mk 7) but they are over priced for their age. like wise golfs. also dont really want bigger than a 1.6 Edited December 16, 2013 by Little Green
