Bigsby
To be fair to you lads, just Japanese ones and cheapo ones. Usually the stock pups are rubbish in the ones your talking about but life's all about opinion and I respect yours I'm not sure if "lads" implies anything or not, but I am lucky enough to own a few nice guitars, custom shop Gibson, signature Fender, vintage Danelectro, pro line Gretsch etc, and the pickups in my Squier Classic Vibe hold there own with anyod them. Playing these through my 1964 blackface Fender, so I feel I can make a decent judgement.

kevyrob
Why would lads suggest anything other than I thought u were male. Sorry if I got it wrong and you are female. As I said already its all about opinion and the original post was about a 'lad' looking for a strat. I gave my opinion and you gave yours. Best leave it at that

TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
Thanks for all the info, just got a 1994' MIJ Fender Strat, black and white + HSC =£300 =get in. That will be a tasty guitar. The only Strat I've played better than mine (a '57 reissue Jap Strat) was a '71 that I played in Austin. I've played US standards, US reissues, Mexican, Chinese, Indonesian and the difference in quality - in terms of playability - is certainly not linked to price.
