shatsome
GOTHIKAStarts Saturday 4th September in the back room of Moshulu.Entry through Air Guitar 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month.Music policy: old skool goth - Bauhaus, Virgin Prunes, The Cure, Fileds of The Nephilim, The Faces of Sarah etc etc and maybe a bit of 80s (Killing Joke, Depeche Mode etc) and if we feel adventurous we may throw in a bit of mellow industrial as well! psydoll
NO and JD goth? Then I guess we must have gone to different schools. It's just the songs that were mentioned though mind - not the bands
shatsome
Well, quite a few of the bands on the set list aren't goth, but I did say that I would play some alt 80's and industrial light as well, so i think i am justified. nullmouse
Joy Division were getting promoted as 'gothic' by their producer, Martin Hannett, in 1979. Kinda predates the positive punk tag which gave way to a more widely accepted use of the word 'goth' in the mid 80's. So I guess JD were proto-goth.NO are just guilty by association
