You wouldn't just Google a guitar if you want to see what condition it is in though - it's a valid question to ask for pictures of the actual item vs a stock picture where everything is shiny.

Doesn't really make much difference with a power amp. It's not meant to be visible to the audience and it's outside appearance will tell you very little about it's inner working (i.e. the important bits). Normally a power amp will sit on a flight case quite happily not being dropped or having it's paint scraped off my belt buckles for years. If he'd asked for a picture of the inside so he could determine whether it had been kept maintained then I could understand that.

so you would be happy if you purchased 2 power amps and they arrived looking like a dog had been in about a tin o beans?

dont think so wether the audience sees them or not i wanna see what im buying before i buy it

Thats the case if I were buying something off e-bay but a local purchase where I can see what i'm buying before parting with cash...

Your comment notwithstanding, the bloke is trying to sell something, and a potential customer wants to see pictures of it before going out of his way to see them.

It's hardly unreasonable tbf, especially where it takes minutes to take photos and post them online. You don't have to wait for them to be developed nowadays Graeme! ;)

Well isnt it a case of "each to their own"? The fact that a power amp had a few scratches or whatever would have no infuence on whether or not I bought it, but on saying that, im glad that the external condition stops someone from buying stuff like that, gives me more of a chance of picking up a bargain.

I don't know what point you're trying to make, because my point is that it's 'each to their own'. He's asked for pictures because he wants pictures, you've picked at the concept of wanting them. If it's 'each to their own' as you've said, what's the problem?

Jeez man.... what do you want me to say?

I have an opinion.... sorry!!

Ok, not yet very familiar with how to use the site - but I've managed to post a photo I took some weeks ago in the gear section

It will give you an idea of what the amps look like - but I would expect anyone seriously interested in the amps to contact me to arrange a viewing and a soak test/try them out - I wouldn't sell anyone anything unless they are 100% happy ith the item. One of the amps has handles on the front, the other has no handles fitted - slightly different design i suppose otherwise both are identical. Only marks are the usual rack rash - but not much of that either to be honest.
