this is a bit annoying. 'horror core' was something i thought was practically an invention of ICP. turns out it's a slightly shit but rather widespread term applied to a few rap artists int eh early 90s, primarily Children Of The Corn, a group feat Big L, Mase (then called Murda Mase), Camron (killa cam), mcgruff. Big L's first album is also kinda dark but i think he had already dropped that persona a bit. see also early Cage.
