misterdale
The Archie Bronson Outfit have been confirmed as support for the Clinic tour which visits our very own Lemon Tree on Tuesday 27th July, Check out their unhinged take on popular music at: http://www.archiebronsonoutfit.co.uk/Clinic: plus Archie Bronson Outfit.Tuesday 27 July 2004 - Caf Tickets 7.50 (5 concessions & regulars)Doors Open: 8pmShow Starts: 8.30pmDrawing on a diverse range of musical sources, but paying particular mind to the work of the Velvet Underground and Suicide, Clinic's inventive "cut-up" approach to music provides a welcome relief to the grey mediocrity of the post-millenial independent music scene.Formed in liverpool in 1997, they signed to Domino records after three independent releases. Their heady mixture of drone-rock, psychedelia, doo-wop and psychobilly has drawn rave reviews for their two albums to date with their greatly anticipated third already nestling snugly in the bomb-bay. Jamie
Had a listen to the track that's on their website. Quite anguished sounding, mind you it's had to get a proper impression as the sound quality through my computer isn't the best - tiny speaker - all treble nae bass. ragudave
i really enjoyed last nights gig but yet another good light show wasted in the lemon tree!Aye the lighting tech deserves a bonus for the show last night.Overall twas a pretty good gig - lovely to see a tight support act. They remind me of early A/gramme and of the Trans Am gig earlier in the year. Sort of tight post prog rock blues in a nice way ?Clinic - good gig with exc lights. Great masks & gowns. The band seemed a little tired / tired of the set but they having been touring a lot lately.Poor audience numbers though...Dave
