If you do decide to buy the album, get the recent remastered cd with bonus tracks as it is of far better quality than the first cd re-issue that was put out.

Just really listened to this album after getting it ages ago and it's really beautiful. My freen Jan has it and he really loves it and couldn't believe that other people had heard of it :)

Apparently no one really knows where she is now though?

She recently supplied the tapes used for the latest re-master!

Apparently Jan remains unconvinced that she isn't AWOL as she might not have PERSONALLY supplied the tapes. Hehehe :)

If you have the most recent remaster with bonus tracks I think it tells you in the sleave notes and has a recent picture of Linda.

I first heard Linda Perhacs on Irene Trudel's show on WFMU.......I urge you to listen to her archives.....loads of brilliant folk, jazz etc (and even a bit of Kitchen Cynics now and again!). The session she has by the Espers is beautiful, and she's had Thomas Truax, Black Forest Black Sea etc etc on (plus she engineered some Jeff Buckley stuff.....a wonderful woman, in my opinion).

It's nice to see such sublime taste being displayed on here for a change. I bought parallelograms on vinyl in about 1970 and still have it, although I recorded it to CD a couple of years ago.

I hadn't realised there was a re-mastered version though, so I'm off out to get it.

well i'm truly glad that she's so well appreciated now and that her one and only album so revered. It also makes me ever more convinced that there are other wonderous forgotten albums, from that era and up until recently, so i'll go on diggin' for obscurities, any more recommendations my way from anyone would be very welcome.......
