Scorge
Thistle's first signing was Mark McChrystal from Derry, made his debut in the inevitable gubbing by Clyde on Tuesday. We've also nabbed Barry Smith (the one who did 10 years at Dundee and still didn't get a testimonial) on loan from Valur FC, of all places. Adam Strachan is on the transfer list - only clubs who fancy a fast winger with a poor final touch need apply....

McConalogue is not SPL material, and unless we get strikers in, he won't be going out.....
RossP
Barry Smith was a great player for Dundee from what i remember.Adam Strachan seemed pretty good as well against ICT. Didn't take much though in those Cup games last year; we were pap.
Scorge
Adam Strachan seemed pretty good as well against ICT.When he's on fire, Strachan is a cracking wee player - he'll belt down the line and can easily skin defenders, just his final balls that let him down. The only player with any pace in our first XI, and he's on the transfer list. Tells you all you need to know about DC, and doesn't show our club as being much use for bringing folk through the ranks (as usual.....). Alvin Starclusk
Dean Shiels - HibsCalum Elliot - Hearts (loan)Doubt either of these very much. The wee thug's been linked with a permanent move to the dons and Elliot's likely to get a fair few games at the JTs.We've signed Romanian "wonderkid" and "new Gheorghe Hagi", Dumitru Copil. Apparently Alexander Hleb's wee bro might manage to get a work permit in time for this transfer window. If not, he'll be at Hearts in the summer. I get mixed up with the Hibs players with their Sheilds and Shiels and their Hibs Hairdos.
Guest Jake Wifebeater
Pars have signed Celtic's Irish U-19 "Wonderkid" Jamie O'Brien. Distinctly underwhelmed...........
delboy
on a brighter note we have at last signed a decent striker wayner purser from weymouth for the rest of the season - a decent player at conference level. mind u we said that when we signed danny carey-bertrum from hereford at the start of the season and he has proved to be worse than useless! next player through the door at the abbey stadium is rumoured to be midfielder stuart thurgood, another decent player at conference level.and even better we cannot lose today - the game has been called off! RossP
FAO of Jake and ScorgeBeen reading on Pie and Bovril that Andy Tod is apparantly heading to Partick Thistle...Just speculation i know, but what do you think? Good for all parties?
Scorge
DC raiding one of his old clubs? Surely not!Dunno. He might be good as a utility player, but he's not really a balls out striker any more......
RossP
DC raiding one of his old clubs? Surely not!Dunno. He might be good as a utility player, but he's not really a balls out striker any more......He was really poor when i saw Aberdeen v. Dunfermline earlier this season. He was played as a sole striker though, and the midfield were not interested in helping him out.Ooohhh... next round draw is made in a few hours. *Looks out radio in preparation*

Guest Jake Wifebeater
FAO of Jake and ScorgeBeen reading on Pie and Bovril that Andy Tod is apparantly heading to Partick Thistle...Just speculation i know, but what do you think? Good for all parties?I'd rather keep him, Toddy's a legend. We signed him as a striker back in 1993, but we immediately shifted him into defence. We'd only been playing him as a striker out of sheer desperation, and he's been a defender too long to be any cop up front. Still, if it means punting him to get Sol Campbell in...........
