incredibledisc
I've just flogged a stomp box to someone in the USA - are there voltage issues with using it? Any help greatly appreciated.
Runcie
Nope there shouldn't be any issues at all. Batteries are the same voltage everywhere I'm pretty sure so that'll be alright. If they intend to use a power supply for it, as long as its a US power supply (110v input) and it outputs the right voltage (usually 9v) it'll be perfectly fine. britheguy
I agree. I've used UK bought pedals abroad with 110v adaptors with no problem.enjoy the cash!
Guest Gasss
The only pedals where this would be a problem are ones than only run directly off 240V mains - like some of the large Electro Harmonix pedals and OD pedals like the Chandler Tube Driver. You'd need a step up transformer to use them in the US.
incredibledisc
Cheers for the help folks. Problem sorted now. Have sold my Sitar Swami pedal (interesting but not terribly practical) and think I'm about to off-load my Free Speech talk-box pedal soon too - all to fund more noise boxes!
