I didn't realise it was aimed at a teenage audience when I bought it but it certainly crosses the gap into an adult read. The Magicians guild reminded me of some sort of Academy that Gandalf might have attended. Really good. Brought back good memories of playing Dungeons and Dragons, especially with the theives guilds. Worth a read. If you like Potter, this is darker and more realistic. However, it still doesn't beat Terry Goodkinds 'The Wizards First Rule'.
