Stripey
I need an affordable battery powered *stereo* mic preamp, for field recording purposes. Anyone got any suggestions? Phantom power is not needed.
HeinzHines
I looked on froogle.....everything seems to cost a fucking fortune. What about some sort of mini desk? There must be one that takes batteries? Maybe? I dunno.

I dunno.yeah it's crazy, i've been looking all day and they all seem really expensive which i don't get atall since all it's doing is raising the signal to line level. Maplin have a 2 channel one which runs of a 12v dc power supply, so I think i might get that and try and hack up some 12v battery to it. Absurdly it might even be cheaper to get a MD recorder and use it as a preamp.
