Paulscoconutass
Was originally supposed to be released on Guy Fawkes night but looks like we'll be waiting for longer while re-shooting is being done. Agent Smith taking on the role of V. Was speaking to a guy about it last night and it sounds like one of the coolest films en route to the screens.Pretty edgy stuff considering a neo-terrorist being the main character and apparently the ending where a tube station i used to blow up Downing Street isn't happening.Anyone else piss-pantsing themselves?"Set against the futuristic landscape of totalitarian Britain, V For Vendetta tells the story of a mild-mannered young woman named Evey (Natalie Portman) who is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked vigilante known only as V. Incomparably charismatic and ferociously skilled in the art of combat and deception, V ignites a revolution when he detonates two London landmarks and takes over the government-controlled airwaves, urging his fellow citizens to rise up against tyranny and oppression. As Evey uncovers the truth about Vs mysterious background, she also discovers the truth about herself and emerges as his unlikely ally in the culmination of his plot to bring freedom and justice back to a society fraught with cruelty and corruption." Afro Droid
Written by comic book genius Alan Moore - you'll probably be able to get the graphic novel for a about a tenner. I'm well looking forward to it. Frightfully prophetic too, given it written in the eighties....
nullmouse
My expectations are low, I'm afraid. Alan Moore has disowned it already :/
Afro Droid
Balls. Moore doesn't have a good track record of comics into films. Let's not even mention League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Watchmen anyone? I'll direct!
