Tav
So what sort of sound is that thing giving out and how much power? What sort of speaker(s) have you hooked it up to?
craig deadenstereo
The sound is somewhere between a Marshall and an Orange - very nice sound. About as loud as PArk practice amp. I have it hooked up to a Matamp 1x12" with a vintage 30 - it's the cab under it in the photo
Tav
I just watched the video from their site. The internal speaker sound is great! I'd use it on a recording no bother. 325 seems quite pricey but I guess for something so cool/useable it'd be good value.
craig deadenstereo
I got it for 250 second hand. It's actually on ebay just now cos my Mesa has crapped out and I need to get it fixed, plus pay a few bills.....I will get another in future though. The guy is also making a version of it for a stereo amp - basically a 2x1W all valve dual mono bloc amp that has an RCA input (for our Ipod/Iriver or cd payer or something) and a pair of speaker outs. David
the nano is sweet, 1 watt output through whatever cab you want to hook it up to, fully cranked it is still probably enough to annoy the neighbours a bit too. that currently has ther title of the worlds smallest production valve amp which is rather coolthe new amp he is doing is a hifi amp, a valve powered, two channel (for stereo) anp runnign at about 1 watt per side, it was designed for using with stuff like ipods int a normal set of hifi speakerszvex makes some top stuff, i have the vexter fuzz factory and it is an amazing pedalDavid
Tav
I'd be seriously tempted to get a Nano...indeed with the help of an overdrive pedal it could be used at bedroom volumes too? I presume when cranked it fairly belts out the volume?
