The Aberdeen LCD Soundsystem performance, which has been postponed due to Record Company commitments, is now on course to take place later this summer.Triptych and Tennent's Lager regret any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause, but wish to reassure you*that the rearranged event will take place as soon as possible - and that all existing tickets will be valid for the new date. Alternatively, tickets can be refunded at point of purchase.On a more positive note, Triptych is pleased to announce that*Montreal micro-house boffin Akufen will now*play*Aberdeen Lemon Tree on Saturday 30th April, alongside buzz-funk pop*insurgents Hot Chip, and the ever-notorious Optimo DJs.This show will be free to existing LCD Soundsystem ticket holders, and 5 to everyone else.Akufen -- who weaves an ample palette of shimmering cut-ups, glittering techno and sampling, pop-addled grubby funk --*is globallly feted for his impish, intelligent electronica, while his recent Fabric 17 mix album heralded one of the finest moments in the eponymous London club's compilation series.We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Triptych in bargain shockers....They also emailed me on Friday to refund 11.50 to my card - they overcharge me for tickets as there was a "Buy 5 get 1 free" type offer on.
