Have we done the Boyd to the Dons discussion? McInnes has spoken to him and Boyd is considering his options. What does everyone think? Would him and Rooney work well together or would it be competition for one place? I think it would be a cracking signing - he's always scored for fun in Scotland. Whether the system could fit both strikers into the starting line up, I'm not sure. Rooney and Boyd must have two of the best scoring records in the SPL of the past 10-15 years in terms of goals to games. (not including the megabucks Old Firm strikers, obviously)

That's exactly it with Rooney. You'd rather have Sturridge up top and rather have Sterling at number 10. Wellbeck was more effective than Rooney on the left and right because of his ball winning and you've got Barkley who looked far hungrier than Rooney when he came on. Rooney should be benched and used as a sub. Tell him to go and prove he's good enough. Nobody should be playing on reputation. The young guys look far more up for it. Rooney doesn't look massively interested.

Good game that. Overall, England were quite good. The disappointing thing I would say is that Hodgson keeps trying to accommodate Rooney. He played one great cross for the goal but aside from that he looked off the pace. Pick the best player for each position. He wasn't interested in doing the defensive job so they shuffled things about and then took fucking Wellbeck off who was hustling all the time and winning the ball. Then he pushed Sterling out wide to keep Rooney on. Once he went out wide he wasn't as effective. I think Rooney needs dropped.

Woods - I thought that Sterling shot was in too as did the person in charge of the scoreboard in the top left corner. Shame - that would have been an incredible intro for Sterling. I predicted an England win but they need to plug that gap down the left or they'll lose another goal.

That seems odd to me. Are you talking about actual "running" shorts as in ones designed for running? Reason I ask is that all of my pairs of running shorts have inner lining that is pretty good at holding everything fairly still. I'd be much more comfortable with these than a pair of boxer shorts.

All you guys saying it wasn't a red. Get to fuck out. The fact that he had a definite look first before raising his arm to Modric's head height (his height makes no difference here because Neymar had a definite look first). At first I thought he was just holding him off because he didn't swing the elbow at him, but when I saw the replay with that look first, then putting the elbow in. Definite red. Even Alan Shearer thought so. The ref bottled it (along with the penalty decision) because it was Brazil at home in the first game of the World Cup.

Well done!! An hour and half after eating would normally be easily long enough for me - in fact, probably ideal... Straight after eating isn't great, but given time to settle etc. I'm probably at my best about 1.5-2 hours after eating! Depends what you're used to though I guess.
