  1. Just bought a Mexican strat with a humbucker in the bridge, hate a humbucker in a strat so looking for a good single coil pickup, as good as the standard mexican singles or better. No cheap crap.

If anyone would want to swap the humbucker for the single coil I'd be happy to do that.

    Get in touch :-)

    Cheers

  2. Hey, I've recently bought a fender champ 30 watt amp, just for messing about, learning songs etc

I've always had Marshall's and can't get on with this fender thing so anyone got anything they fancy swapping for it? An amp obviously...

  3. That's lovely but I've just picked up an immaculate white strat for 250. One problem with it is its got a hummer in the bridge, absolute HATE hummers on strats. So ill either swap it out for a single or maybe do a whole scratchplate transplant with someone who has the opposite taste and wants to offload the SSS scratchplate haha

Anyone here in that boat by any chance? :-)

  4. Hey guys,

Unfortunately our lead guitarist has decided to leave us to try a personal project so a vacancy has opened up for a rock god to step forward!

We're a band from Hatton called "Bad Penny" we're all in our 20's and we are looking for a mainly lead guitarist (sometimes playing a bit of rhythm) to complete our lineup. We have a fully kitted out rehearsal space we forked out a few grand to build that is at the drummers house.

We're looking for someone who is fully committed and can rehearse at least once a week but preferably twice. Unless you live in Macduff, Ellon or Cruden bay you will need to have your own transport or a way in and out of Hatton during the week. Also (obviously) you'll need your own equipment.

We have about 30 covers on the go, with plenty more in mind, we're focusing on covers but we do plan on trying writing further down the line but have no intention chasing fame and trying to get signed.

As long as you love rocking your our man!

    Here's a handful of songs so you get an idea of what were about;

    Status Quo - Caroline

Bad Company - Cant Get Enough

Lenny Kravitz - Are You Gonna Go My Way

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama

Poison - Nothing But A Good Time

    Eric Clapton - Cocaine

    The Commitments - Mustang Sally

    The Who - Pinball Wizard

Queen - Tie Your Mother Down

    Thin Lizzy - Rosalie

Bon Jovi - Dead Or Alive

Bad Company - Feel Like Making Love

Bob Segar - Old Time Rock And Roll

The Black Crowes - Hard To Handle

Led Zeppelin - Good Times Bad Times

That's a few more than a handful haha but you get the jist, we plan on some more classic blues, muddy waters, buddy guy sorta stuff

Get in touch if your keen! :-)

P.s - We love a bit of banter too so hopefully your a good laugh!

  5. Sorry to disappoint everyone but I've decided to keep the Gibson copy, I found out there not worth half of what I was hoping so I'm gonna keep it as a spare/practicing guitar to keep the fret wear down on the real Gibson haha I thought i would get about 400, turns out more like 200

  6. I'm looking for offers

    First off is...

    Fender Statocaster squire

This is already in its own advert but ill throw it on here as well.

The strat is a squire body and neck, upgraded pickups, but cant remember what make, possibly iron gear or Artec? Hardware is all original squier, but the wiring and pots are all new. lovely mirror scratchplate, its a great looking guitar and sounds good too.

Next is a "Gibson" les Paul goldtop

Gibson les paul copy - Absolutely gorgeous, feels great, looks great and plays amazing.

I'm not even sure if I want to sell this but I'm seeing if there is any interest...

Came with Epiphone pickups that I changed with proper Gibson pickups out my les Paul classic, it sounds really, really nice. I still have the original pickups which would be thrown in. It's been set up perfectly and I've changed all the normal white and gold to a more Bonamassa black and gold.

If I can't get a good price for this I'm going to keep it cause its seriously a lovely guitar, only reason I'm getting rid of it is I fancy something different as I already have a real Gibson les Paul.
