  1. Looking to upgrade our speakers, we currently use two mackie srm450's going out to te crowd and two for monitors, theres just not enough volume in them for us. We have a seriously hard hitting drummer! We tried putting three srm450's out last night and our singers still struggling to be heard.

Were looking to sell all 4 of the mackies and buy two really good, loud speakers for whatever we get for them so say 800- 1000 budget

When it comes to the PA side of things were bloody clueless so anyone with any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Scott

  2. Hey,

    So here's my problem...

When I was younger I wanted to be Slash or Scott Gorham/Brian Robertson of Thin Lizzy...

So I've always seen Marshall behind them and figured it's the dogs balls, which let's face it for that kinda music it's all you'll ever need...

So I have bought nothing other than Marshall's since I started playing, I currently have a TSL100 head with the 1960 cab. However I've got more and more into the blues and lets face it Marshall's clean sound is a desired taste. I don't use any of the amplifiers overdrive, all my overdrive is coming from my pedals.

I guess what I'm asking is who else is there? I want crisp cleans for some nice blues but a head that takes pedals beautifully too so I can still have the amazing crunch of slash or the Lizzy lads if I want it, I've seen all the classic blues fender combos but I'm planning on playing this head through my marshall cab so not looking for a combo.

I don't know how much my tsl head is worth but hopefully I wouldn't have to spend much more to get what I'm after?

    Who would you guys recommend?

Been googling for days and haven't really been drawn to anything so any advice is appreciated.

    Over and out,

    Scott

  3. Definitely looking for a powered one mate sorry. The wharfedale one sounds good but I'll need to speak to the guys and see if they want to pay that. We're looking for something dirt cheap but I'm pretty sure they will go for it. Will be in touch

  4. I'm posting this for my mate Richie, lovely guitar, sounds beautiful with the three pickups like Frampton, was damaged and repaired on the neck but it seriously looks worse than it is, he's put an add on gumtree which says,

Sad to see it go but I am selling my Epiphone Les Paul Black Beauty due to recently buying an upgrade and I no longer play it.

There is a crack on the neck, round about the 5th fret but it in no means affects the playability of the guitar, it looks worse than it actually is!

    Comes with case

    Feel free to message questions

    Richard

  5. I've got a head I'm looking to downgrade, it's seriously, seriously loud, even when you cut the wattage down with the VPR button (I think that's what it's called) it's still crazy loud, lovely sound, classic marshall tone... but just too loud.

I'm after Marshall only, maybe a 50 watt head or something? Valve only obviously.

Let me know if anyone has anything.

    Thanks,

    Scott
